We stopped in here for a drink and some music. I ordered a vodka cranberry for my wife, and a bottle of Dos Equis for myself. For this we were charged $17.50! Completely ridiculous, even by bourbon street standards. We finished our drinks and got out of there. While we were there, another couple came in, ordered two drinks, had... More

Spent a week in New Orleans recently, and this was one of the better bars I visited. Same live band were playing both nights, when they took a break we were entertained by another chap who sang along to pop songs (this was actually very very entertaining and the chap was pretty hilarious). Staff were all pleasant, although not a... More

we spent about an hour here listening to great music and being entertained by the crowd dancing. The music was outstanding both in quality and the interaction of the band with the crowd. The girls serving the Jell-O shots were friendly and fun to interact with. This is definitely a bar comfortable for couples and single girls as well as... More

This is NOT an exaggeration! Seriously. I visit every time I visit New Orleans. They always have great bands that play '60s and 70s music. The one we saw on Sunday night even had the audacity and pull off brilliantly "Another Brick in the Wall". I have spent hours there before and did the same on Sunday. The fact that... More

We stopped for a beer or two while on Bourbon St, great drink specials and the House Band was great. They had a great house band. Will definately go back.

The favorite bar on Bourbon Street for my wife & I for many reasons but it starts with the house band - THE QUARTNOTES. They are top notch led by lead guitarist Kevin & Keyboard player Roberto. The female lead singer is Miss Rebecca and you wont go wrong with either of the lead male singers - Steve or Ross.... More

First visited on my only other trip to New Orleans 16 years ago, I was delighted find this bar still going and just a few steps from the hotel my employer had booked for me off Bourbon St! The live music and atmosphere were just as good as my last visit.

We spent a couple of long afternoons in Famous Door and had a terrific time each day. The house band was an excellent rock cover band and their line-up changed a bit each time. The drinks are a bit pricey but they're strong. The atmosphere is fun and the setting comfortable.

Seriously, if you have a bad time in this bar. Its not the bar, its you. Its impossible not to enjoy yourself here. We had 3 fantastic nights on our short visit to NOLA and we have been here before and had an amazing time. Its just a good ole' fashioned New Orleans bar with a Rock'n Roll and band... More
