Was my favorite of the music clubs I visited on Frenchmen Street. Friendly staff, heavy drinks and lots of classic jazz. It's a can't miss!

This is my favorite place on Frenchmen. That may be because it was the first club I set foot in the first time I went to Frenchmen Street. It was just amazing. I went and saw Kermit Ruffins play here this time. It was a great show and, as always, the Blue Nile was the place to be. I stopped... More

My husband and I decided to check out the Blue Nile on Frenchman Street after a recommendation from his coworker. The entire neighborhood is filled with bars which feature bands so I'm sure there's something for everyone in the area. The band featured on this particular Sunday was playing Naughty By Nature's OPP when we walked in the door, so... More

We were drawn into this club by the sound of a fantastic female singer whose voice was incredible, we later found out that her name is " Mykia Jovan" and she performs at the blue Nile every Sunday evening starting at 7:30 ...If I lived in New Orleans I would be there every Sunday Evening...she was that good. Plus the... More

We saw Kermit Ruffin perform here the other night. Fantastic show. The room's acoustics are excellent. You can get up close to be musicians--if you want. If there's a cover charge, I would recommend you pay up--whatever the price--it's cheap compared to what you'd pay in any other city. Blue Nile has a wide variety of performers listed on their... Great sound system, small room with funky ambiance and the best music in the Crescent City make an incredible musical experience. The bar is pricey but boasts good local beers and bourbon.

I've been here twice on Wednesday. The band is terrific. The name of the band was the Rhythm Devils. I believe they play there of Wednesdays. The singer is hott! It is a mix of bluegrass, jazz and blues. They do put on a great show. The blue Nile is a little small, but it makes excellent sounds. The drinks... More

The Blue Nile was excellent. The music was great and the drinks were strong. I would definitely come again and recommend the place to friends in the future. If your looking for some good music and drinks you should definitely put this on your to do list while in NOLA.
