I loved just sitting with my drink and the sounds of the beautiful woman singing. It was relaxing during the weekdays. Wasn't there on a weekend.

The Blue Nile on Frenchman Street has to be the top spot in all of New Orleans for live and and mean lively music. On a recent visit we heard Kermit Ruffins, a New Orleans original bring the house down with his slant on New Orleans jazz and mowtown blues...He is a showman with a band to beat the band.... More

The best jazz club in my experience. The band had three trombonist that would come off stage & play on different areas of the club, walk around to get the crowd going. They played cover songs. It was a great time.

Wandering this street on a Friday, you will come across LOTS of music entertainment options! We were pleased with the Blue Nile because of the large dance floor and comfortable temperature. While other clubs had bands stuffed into a corner, Blue Nile has a large stage, great sound system and lighting. We paid a reasonable cover charge to see an... More

Great acts.... Most of the time you can buy tickets at the door. Advanced purchase recommended for Jazz fest and Mardi Gras.

I stumbled onto this jewel attempting to hide from the midnight heat. I stayed for the live music. Unfortunately, I do not recall the artist who preformed that night but she was AMAZING! Many of her songs were original, she sung beautifully, and had great stage presence. I definitely suggest this bar to anyone strolling along Frenchman St. The young... More

Went to this raging venue to see Kermit Ruffins and the Barbecue Swingers. What a blast! Great open venue with space to dance. (NB no food on sale , but you can bring in take out)

Long lines outside and at the bar. Staff was extremely rude and unapologetic about it. It was sweltering inside due to a lack of windows and the even though the venue was at capacity they were still letting people in. This is my second time going to this establishment once during Mardi Gras the experience wasn't much better and the... More
