This IMAX theatre shows family friend documentaries. Don't expect popular movies. The concessions are expensive. I think it's an attraction that people should bring their kids to at least once. We saw Kenya: Animal Kingdom. It was a great documentary about wild life in Kenya. The doc is about 40 minutes long which is long enough for children to sit.

It's $10 a person I believe and It was ok for the 40 min show. The only reason we went in was because it began to rain outside and so we made the most of the location and time frame. Not bad experience and for those who do not GET dizzy from viewing 3D images will enjoy the show. The... More

If we had just bought the IMAX experience alone and not with the Aquarium tickets, I would have been upset. We saw the Great White Shark. It was just OK. Nothing spectacular!

Shark great white 3 d movie was very educational. It wasn't scary , a few mild jumps! After watching this you have a better understanding of sharks. Very well done. Cokes & water are $3, too expensive. Popcorn is $3-$7. Movie lasts about 40 minutes. Nice large curved screen.

Went to the IMAX to check out the Great White 3D experience with my family as a way to get out of the rain in the French Quarter. The show was outstanding and informative. Both kids said they learned a lot and I liked the way sharks were portrayed. As more children are educated in such a way, conversation will... More

We took in the shark show and it was good fun, remember if you took out a membership then you get tickets for the IMAX for only 5 bucks, about half price. The 3d effects will make you jump. The only criticism I have is that is was too loud, or am I just getting old?

This was much easier to go see than others in our hometown. The options were good. The show was pretty good. This was also on our Visiticket so I don't know about the value.

Great movie. Really gave a good insight into the Katrina disaster and the way we are losing our wetlands. Would definitely recommend seeing this movie.

Attached to the aquarium, next to the river, and just next to the French Quarter this is a convenient location if you are in the mood for an IMAX. You can see movies without paying the full aquarium price.
