The continent's oldest carousel is located here in a small amusement area of the fabulous City Park. Filled with huge live oaks, rides, and of course, the magnificent Carousel! Tour this after you stroll through the Botanical gardens just next door and have a great time

The carousel is beautiful and my child really loves it. The train ride is also a great way to see a bit of the park. My kid is too short to ride most of the other rides which mostly seem to be fair carnival type rides but we have fun when we go

What a sweet little amusement park. Our 9 year old twins loved it. The rides are great, very small area that is easy to walk around, a good time was had by all of us. Big thumbs up for families with young kids!

This little gem is tucked away in a city park in New Orleans. It is perfect for families with young children. There is a nice mix of adult rides and children's rides. There is nothing overly big or scary here. The train takes passengers throughout most of the city park, well outside the boundaries of the amusement park itself. Workers... More

My hubby and I took our 4 children (ages 11 months, 4 years, 11 years and 14 years) to New Orleans for a long weekend trip. We went to Carousel Gardens after strolling through the Botanical Gardens. It is a small, but fun amusement park. One ticket per ride, at $3 per ticket ...we figured that would come a bit... More

Lovely park with a great atmosphere. This area is best for younger children as most of the rides are for ages 4-10. My boys (and myself) had a great time with loads of giggles.

Contrary to the description above, this place is NOT closed. It's open, and although it's small, it's a really good time for the family! We visited in June, and it was super hot, but we got some lemonade from the concession stand and it was totally bearable. We got the all-day wristbands, and rode everything we wanted, multiple times. The... More

Carousel Gardens is my favorite part of City Park, and such a nice amusement park. It is the only amusement park actually in the city, and although it's small is definitely worth the admission price. Not open until March, though. Also a GREAT place for kid's birthdays!

Must do during their Christmas in the oaks. Adults and children will truly enjoy it. The ride takes you all around the park where the lights are all set up. There is a spot by the museum where dinosaurs are set up and when the train passes they roar.

last time we went for the rides we had a groupon so we could ALL go on rides together, otherwise we couldn't afford to do 3x $20 for armbands. rides are fun, but limited. going during celebration in the oaks is the best though.
