New Orleans Fun

Beautiful church with years of history. It is a great place to go during the daytime after mass and see the fantastic building and the story behind it.

We visit Immaculate Conception Church on each and every visit to NOLA. It is a peaceful retreat at the edge of the business district on one side and the French Quarter across Canal ST. on the other. It is a beautiful church and not to be missed.

We stayed by this church and walked past it every day. It has amazing architecture and makes a beautiful place to get some pictures. We saw a few travelers taking selfies in front of it.

What a true Catholic Church is all about. Beautiful statues, altar and even real candles to offer your prayer. One could not choose a more beautiful church for a wedding.

We attended Sunday morning mass at this absolutely beautiful church. It is a very short walk from the Astor Crowne Plaza. The priest gave a wonderful sermon. They offered us coffee and donuts after mass, along with some great hospitality. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there.

A mixture of Russian Orthodox and and Spanish Mudéjar, I mean, very much in the syncretic taste between 19th and 20th c. Paintings are mediocre, but beautiful vitraux exalting the lives of saintly Jesuits. Soaring space.

I make it a point to visit Baronne street and look at this lovely church everytime I am near it. The architecture is divine and the church is very very well maintained. I try to go in the morning or early evening when the street is quiet and I can spend sometime standing across the way and looking at the... More

The solid bronze pocket doors are crafted in a Moorish geometric design, a fitting entrance to this immense temple, which rises three stories and is crowned with spired ceilings. Although a Catholic Church, Immaculate Conception owns a most curious design. Unlike any other church in this most holy city, it is filled with Islamic architecture. Along the stoic cityscape, a... Beautiful church with a great history; a must visit. Masses with opera singer give you chills. Jesuit priests give excellent, to the point sermons. Highly recommend. Dominica is right across the street - great for an after 7:30pm mass dinner.

Beautiful church with exquisite windows. There's art throughout. It's a nice place to pause and reflect.
