There's so many cool spots on Frenchmen Street, that its hard to say any of them are better than the others. I guess it depends on who's playing, and the Spotted Cat always seems to have a great Jazz band in the house whenever we go there. Its worth the trip just to feel the history in the building....

Off the bustling Bourbon Street, hidden on Frenchman street is this amazing local hang out. Amazing live music, and great place to hang and soak in the laid back jazz life! So happy to say I have been here, as its a highly recommended place on the USA Contiki site, and not many get there!

I made the mistake of looking for good music or at least authentic music on Bourbon Street. All I found there were cover bands and overpriced drinks. I was fortunate to find Frenchman Street where there is a mind-boggling choice of quality music. I particularly enjoyed the Spotted Cat.

Went early, great service, enjoyed the music. Was getting very crowded by the time we left, but had an enjoyable evening listening to New Orleans Jazz. Highly recommended

My wife and I enjoyed a couple of sets played by the Panorama Band. The band was terrific. If you see them scheduled at a club near you, check them out. The club is having some major construction done. So, the entrance is kind of a mess. Don't let that dissuade you. Go in. There is no cover charge. But... More

So this place has plywood and plastic also with duct tape...but don't let that stop you from visiting. The music is fantastic. The drinks are strong but leave your master card at home...they like cash. It is a great place to hang out with friends and enjoy the vibe that is NOLA.

Very cool jazz place on Frenchmen street. Don't be afraid to enter- looks like the building is falling apart but the music inside in excellent and it is packed with good atmosphere.

We spend more time in this club than any other in town. Great music, fun dancing, never seen a drunk or disorderly yet, no cover (so but a drink!). This is just a fun, high-energy place. So what if I'm twice as old as most of the patrons! The youngsters feel sorry for me and give me a seat.

Stopped by here tonight. The place was packed. The music was great and the price was right. No cover, one drink minimum. It's being renovated so it looks like it's on the verge of complete collapse. The sign out front says not to worry so I didn't and had a great time.

This cute little club on Frenchman Street is a must. The place is tiny but the music is large. Great bands, great service and great people watching.
