The Spotted Cat was the best. By far, the music was better, the scene more genuine and the entertainment out of this world. We had the special treat of several other musicians from other clubs joining for a jam session the night we were there. Only a short cab drive from Bourbon street and you leave the sameness of the... Cool little bar we went to that had an amazing live band. Drinks average $7. We eneded up coming 3 separate time while we were in New Orleans because of the live bands that they had. They were fantastic and we had a lot of fun here

Must knows: -Cash only bar -Small place so you will be standing unless you get lucky -Great music -There is an ATM inside -Women's restroom one room/one toilet. (That being said I never had to wait in a really long line so I did not have any problems.) -bands sell CD's and have a tip bucket -there maybe a cover... More

What a fun little joint! We had been to New Orleans in the past, but we had never explored Frenchman Street and while talking to the locals we were recommended this area. We came to Spotted Cat on a Friday night and were so pleased with the atmosphere and live music. We got there just before 10pm and there was... More

It does not have much of seating available. The staff was nice and friendly. We went in around 7pm on a Saturday, did not end up paying a cover charge. By 8pm it was packed and cover charge was visible at the entrance. The music was amazing!! The Panorama Jazz band was so good we ended up buying a CD.... More

I'll go back in a heartbeat. Friendly staff, relaxed vibe, good mix of locals and tourists. Go there, it'll not disappoint.

This was a very interesting place. It is very small, not at all fancy, but it had really good music. It is what I have always invisioned New Orleans to be. Not expensive, 1 drink minimum, get there early to get a seat, or it is sro.

We visited Frenchman street yesterday afternoon/night and spent a couple of hours in this place. At first it was standing room only and boy were the band great, I believe they were called the Swamp Donkeys. Then they finished, the place cleared out somewhat, we grabbed a few stools and settled in for another great band. We stayed until hunger... More
