We booked this tour very last minute and Dave was very accommodative in adding us to the group on short notice. The tour led us through some of the key locations in the city and Dave's rich knowledge of the history gave a wonderful backdrop as to how NOLA became the way it is today. As a last stop, Dave... Due to schedule conflict, my husband and I booked a private tour with Dave. He had just completed his group tour within the hour on a hot, June day yet summoned the energy to give us a wonderful tour. He clearly loves history and was great at portraying how the city developed and providing suggestions for activities.

We found his brochure at the rest area on the turnpike. Nothing is more appealing than the word Free!! I sent him a text that 4 of us were interested in doing the tour as his brochure says to call or text for reservations. Sure enough we had about 14 people total in our group. I wanted to see the... I had read about the NOLA guy on tripadvisor, and decided to look up his tour while we were in town. I found his website and emailed him the evening before to advise him of our party size. I received a reply the following morning. The tour is free, though he asks a tip at the end. This appears to... More

me and my girlfriend took the French Quarter tour and the Cementery...it was a fantastic experience!! Since the beggining with the reservation on line everything went absolutely fine. Te tour was really good, lots of interesting information, quite funny and dinamic. Not the tipical boring tour...you can see that he enjoys what he does!! If you want to know better... More

This was a real find. The reason the tours are free is that the guy is so confident his tour will be amazing you'll give him a decent tip - and my word we did! He is obviously a history enthusiast and had so much info, but gave it all in a very straightforward way, and really made you feel... More

Incredibly knowledgeable Dave was our guide. Lives and breaths NOLA and is a refreshing alternative to some of the bigger commercial walking tour groups.

David worked with us to schedule a private tour but thunderstorms altered our plans. He recommended rescheduling for the saturday morning free tour. We enjoyed the tour and his knowledge of New Orleans history was excellent. He was energetic and had a great sense of humor to keep it fun. He also had on point recommendations for lunch and dinner... More

We did the Garden District tour and it was great. Was really cool to see the cemetery, and Dave had lots of cool info that wasn't just for the history buffs. Definitely great for all ages, anyone interested in Nola history but also who wants to see some of the gorgeous houses in the neighbourhood!

A group of six of us met Dave last week, we had a last minute cancellation for another couple and there was no issue at all. He met us right on time and we recognized him right away by his funky hat. We toured the garden district and cemetery #1, he was knowledgeable about the area, architecture and the cemetery.... More
