Great Local Bar

Staff is excellent, they do not water down your drinks. If your looking for a great little local bar to sit back and people watch, look no further.

Wanted to escape the crazy of Bourbon Street, and couldn't have found a better place. Yes, the movie plays on a loop, but that's expected. What's wonderful are the bartenders and the locals who make you feel like a local yourself.

Stumbled upon this hole in the wall as an escape from Bourbon Street on New Year's Eve. Was looking for somewhere with room to sit and found a whole lot more! Bartenders were friendly and quick - also knowledgeable about their beers on tap. Beers were local and reasonably priced. They also had a good selection of Irish beer. Multiple... More

Bartender was awesome, alot of locals hang out here. Meet some great people with good conversation. Loved this place, not far off of bourbon, the price for drinks is very resonable as compared to those on bourbon. We will return on our next visit.

Great small bar off of St Peters near Bourbon street. 4 beers cost the price of one or two anywhere else. Bartender was friendly and great at recommending late night food and you can order and bring it in. Mostly locals who were friendly and not the normal French quarter characters.

Now being Irish I'm drawn to Irish bars and pubs wherever I travel ..... this bar is friendly in the sense off a true Irish bar. I only meet Ron who's an ex-cop, his partner is still serving, but Ron was a great host as was all of the staff. I was only in NO three nights and managed to... More

Owned by an ex-New Orleans Police Officer, this place is definitely friendly for Law Enforcement, and anyone else who happens to stop by. Irish in nature with cheap beer, come here for a great time and take a look at numerous shoulder patches provided by Law Enforcement Officers around the world. Definitely worth taking some time off of Bourbon Street... More

The Boondock customers are mostly local but they have always made me feel welcome and at home. An interesting mix of young, old and unique patrons. It is one of my favorites and I always make it one of my first stops when I'm back in town. Drinks are cheap and they have a nice selection of local beers. Order... More
