Art is definitely up to par like it used to be. Now just crafts in my opinion. Disappoint. Nothing really special or that I would consider good art.

We came to Rhino gallery to make crafts with the artist on Saturday. The cost is a suggested donation of $5. Most kids crafts require your child to make a copy of whatever is sitting at the table. There is no thought process just assemble and move on. At Rhino they asked my children, "What do you want to make?"... More

A fabulous cooperative! Unique items from the simple to the almost audacious! I really did not see anything I would purchase in the French Quarter, so I thought that I would look for unique stores in the mall (nice, upscale but most of the stores are identical to those in any suburb). Ok, you're tired of the tacky from French Market and other local touristy shops and you want really well done, tasteful and high quality, this is your place. It's a cooperative where you can meet the artist from whom you buy. The items are beautiful, clever, colorful, unique.

Rhino is a co-operative of artists and artisans who sell their work here. The name comes from the first letters of Right Here In New Orleans. The work is mostly glass, pottery and jewelry but you will also find painting, sculpture and metal work. Prices are very reasonable. There are some things here that make wonderful inexpensive little gifts. You... More
