I was in New Orleans for a conference and had a free afternoon to explore and I figured I could see the city quicker on a bike. I found American Bicycle Rental Co. on a rival website (they also have a fantastic mobile app that rhymes with 'help') and saw they had some good reviews and figured I give them... More

This simple bike rental does it all perfect. Easy policy, nicely maintained bikes, custom map with great recommendations and excellent customer service... If I may gush with pleasure for a moment, the shops GM went above and beyond. There was a major rainstorm, I was rushing to catch an early morning flight and the guy showed up with a poncho... More

Rented bikes for 8 hours and went 25 miles all around NOLA on a self guided adventure. Bikes were great and they held up even over all of the cities bumps and potholes! Guys were great in explaining the places to hit. Map was great too. Easy return process even after hours. Overall a great experience.

Ryan was so friendly and nice to meet! 4 of us (all adults) rented bikes for 4 hours. The shop was about to close, but he still took the time to explain everything in great detail, go over the map, give us tips, recommend great local places to try and answer all our questions! He is very knowledgeable of places... More

We enjoyed the staff, the price was more than fair, the bikes were in great shape and their system for returning after hours works really well. Their commitment to high-quality American-made parts is admirable also.

The American Bicycle Rental Company is Great. Bikes that all parts work. The seat is big and easy to sit on. A bike map that is the best in the FQ. I have rented four times already.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
