We were pleasantly surprised to have the owner give the intro for our tour guide. Not only did he provide the wonderful story of his founding the business, but his expansion plan for San Francisco!!! Linda took over and and the food frenzy began. We learned about history of the city as well as the history of the delicious food.... More

What I liked about this tour was how so much history is included, just by walking around and eating the food of the city. Therefore, you get to combine the best of both worlds. I think this culinary tour is a great way to explore a whole new side to the city which includes both its sights and tastes.

This was the best tour of our trip! Ask for Richard and eat your way into the history of NOLA. When you are done Richard can tell you about all the best bars and jazz slots to check out

My wife and I were on a quick trip to NOLA and wanted to get a feel for the food scene without spending a ton of money hitting all of the recommended places (that would have been impossible anyways as there were so many recommendations!). This tour was perfect! Our tour guide, Richard, shared great stories that told gave a... More

We all enjoyed our tour. We were four of us and the only ones on the tour. It was a great personal tour. The food was all good. I think the Muffaletas are better at Central Grocery and the beignets are better at Cafe du Monde but, it gives you a good all round flavor of the city. I assumed... More

We absolutely loved our time on this food tour. The selections were varied and thoughtful, and the pacing of history, trivia and context was perfect. I would recommend this tour to someone interested in trying new things, since some items may not have broad appeal (I did not care for the gumbo, but am so happy to have tried it.)... More

We loved this! The food was delicious and varied, and all very unique-- there was nothing you could find just anywhere. Our guide Richard was super sweet and we enjoyed that history was integrated throughout. Richard gave us city recommendations too! We did this in the cold though, which was a bit tricky.

Took this as I have done amazing food tours in new york but this didnt compare. None of the food was bad, but none of it was great either. Guide was friendly and enthusiatic but all the places we visited were not really know for these dishes. Instead spend the cash on the guidebook 'eat dat' and make your own... More

We did Tastebud's Food Tour with Richard and it was the highlight of our trip! He was personable, genuine and knowledgeable. Not only did we enjoy gorgeous local fare (we are still salivating about it) but we also learned very interesting food and non-food-related facts about NOLA. As others suggest, make sure you come hungry and with an open mind!... More
