I took this tour with 2 friends during the French Quarter Festival. We had a great time! Our guide, Lyndel, was knowledgable and enthusiastic. She provided a reasonable amount of history and context without going overboard. We covered all the staples of New Orleans cuisine without hitting the touristy places we'd been to before. Even though the festival made it... More

This tour is a must! We had a great time with Dave! The tour is a good mix between yummy Food, historical Facts and a foot tour of New Orleans! What a better way than to walk of all the yummy food you are consuming ;). Do come hungry and have a great time exploring the culinary and historical side... More

I would have rated this higher as the food we tried was good except that everywhere we went we had to stand around and wait for enough space for our whole group to fit. It was a Saturday afternoon so maybe do it during the week. We had muffalata, poboy, jambalya, gumbo and pralines. So it did cover the food... More

Did this tour on our last day in NOLA. Wish we'd done it on our first. Not only was the food & info on the food incredible, but our tour guide, Rich, also gave us information on NOLA itself. Was a terrific 3 hours not only learning about NOLA cuisine, but also about the history of this wonderful city as... More

Great tour, ask for Rich if possible - we had all the NOLA staples and got a great French Quarter history lesson. Having been on food tours in Durham and Chapel Hill, NC, and Charleston, SC, this one takes the cake - loved the historical component.

This was a good overall tour I am sorry it took me so long to review it. The tour guide took us to a number of famous places and we tried samples of their most popular. I liked the Coffee Pot the best but when I went back the next morning the menu was limited and not what the chef... More

This tour was perfect. Richard was an excellent tour guide. As retired educator he really knows how to tell stories, speak clearly and teach you about the city. The food stops really covered much of the important foods NoLa is known for. The tour was very relaxed and we left knowing so much more about this wonderful city. Worth every... More

There were a few people on the forum that stated we shouldn't do this tour and just go on your own and try the food. To be honest, my cousin and I are picky eater. When you read the descriptions of New Orleans food (at least for us) we went yuck! This tour is is not only about food it's... More

This tour was recommended by friends who had the taken the tour a few weeks earlier. They mentioned that it was "just a fun way to get to know New Orleans" and I think that was an accurate assessment. 5 of us took the tour and all of us thoroughly enjoyed it. Dave was terrific and I think his past... More
