We needed to take the streetcar in to the French quarter from our hotel on St. Charles street. For $ 3 per person, per day, you can ride the street cars as often as you want. We enjoyed the ride into the French Quarter and back so much, that we stayed on the line and rode through the Garden District... More

Friendly, the street cars ran on a routine basis, theh drivers helped us with directions & offered suggestions of what to see. They seemed to be everywhere

We had high hopes of using the streetcars to see all we wanted to see, from the Garden District all the way to Frenchmen street. However, we found ourselves standing and waiting for long (30-45 min) periods of time to find out that a particular street car line was closed due to a parade somewhere. We liked the experience, and... More

We love the St. Charles Streetcar. Every time we visit NOLA, we make sure we buy a daypass ($3) and take this line. It is great for people watching, for getting a view of the Garden District, and for staying out of the rain. Take your camera. Listen to the mixture of accents, even of foreign tourists. Be sure to... More

We did all of our NOLA traveling via streetcar. After the first day we had become familiar with the lines and where they could take you. For a $3.00 all day pass (correct change only) we had the city at our fingertips. We bought our passes each day at Walgreens to avoid the correct change hassle.

The price is very reasonable. Just $3 for an all day pass but it can be very squishy once you get on and if you don't get a seat, not easy to see the sights or even where you are going. They did not run regularly and so we waited a very long time to be picked up and then... More

We hopped on at Canal and N. Rampart and rode the Canal Cemeteries streetcar to the end (headed for Metairie Cemetery), explored for a while, hopped back on the streetcar toward Harrah's, hopped off, and then hopped on the City Park streetcar and rode it to the end (at City Park and the Museum). Both streetcars were clean and climate-controlled,... More

Great way to get around. Buy a $3 day pass and use the whole bus & streetcar system until 4 AM. Streetcars do get crowded, but no long waits before next one arrives.

We tried to take the trolley several times. We often waited 30-40 minutes only to see the streetcar go by without stopping because it was full. It travels very slowly. If you do want to take it check the schedule often not running when there is a parade.
