We were staying at the Avenue in the garden district and were excited about the street car stop just outside the hotel. We ended up only using it once round trip during our stay as it was not convenient for us at all. Sometimes the cars are back to back and other times you can wait in the LA heat... More

The pass for a day is $3.00 and it is so easy to get around. On top of that, the conductors are very friendly and helpful. The pass also works for the buses. The bus drivers are equally as helpful. It was such a pleasant surprise. The website of the transit co has a tool where you can enter your... More

With hotels charging $32 a day for parking, it makes no sense to rent a car in Nola. The streetcars are super user friendly and available and cabs aren't outrageous like Vegas. $3 for a 24 hour pass on the street cars will get you to walking distance of all the best sights. Loved it!

Trollies are fun for difference factor but not totally reliable. Canal Street cars run up and down constantly saving long walks. St Charles line needs additional cars running. In October, mid day and evening cars were delayed, crowded beyond comfort with no A/C. Bus travel is faster and not as crowed generally. In full out tourist season trollies would probably... More

No trip to New Orleans is complete without at least one ride on a street car - either along Canal Street, the river or along St Charles Street. They are noisy and anything but fast - given all the stops - but so full of atmosphere. We had a day pass for the busses and trams and it was so... More

inexpensive and neat way to navigate the city. Well kept up and only $3 for a 1 day pass. Took a while to figure out which ones went where.

Riding the historic streetcars is a must do! They are the best mode of transport at US3 for an all day pass. Their routes cover all the sights you might want to do and run approximately every 15 minutes. There are three lines - St Charles St, Riverfront and Canal St. All converge in the city but cover different loops.... More
