Ride through the Garden District to the zoo or the university. Then turn around and ride right back again so you can see both sides of the street. It's fun!

The Trollers are a step back in time - loved the old wooden chairs and can't beat the price to see the city.

Nothing is better than getting on a streetcar and feeling the wind in your face as it rambles down the street. Just don't be in a hurry to get somewhere. Depending on the time of day it can be crowded and you may stand waiting for a seat, but the experience can't be beat! Relax and enjoy the ride and... More

The New Orleans Streetcars are amazing on so many levels: part heritage, part tourism, part local flavor. The cars themselves are pristine and well-maintained. The interiors of polished wood recall the past. Local riders tolerate the tourists with helpful advice and a sense of pride. With a one-way fare of $1.25 this is the best value in town and no... We took the Canal Streetcar from one end to the next, saw the cemetaries at the end. They can be crowded (esp. St. Charles), but the on and off gives you a chance to get a seat eventually. The Riverfront streetcar took us from our hotel to the French Quarter and I think this is the best $3 you can... More

These are fun to ride and are part of the history of the city but, does anyone have a schedule ? One resident told us they run "when they fell like it." An inexpensive way to travel around but are generally crowded. It can be confusing to transfer from one route to the next but worth the effort.

Buy a day pass and you're in business. The best way to get from A to B while watching your fellow man. It can be extremely crowded but don't be bashful or shy.

Love the cheap $3 unlimited per day unique streetcars, but many of the drivers could be more friendly.

You'll need exact change to ride these trolleys - but it's only $1.25. We travelled several times each day and could have saved a little by purchasing a pass. No matter - it was inexpensive. The cars were spotless clean. Luckily the weather was perfect as well. We walked extensively each day, but never hesitated to use the trolley's along... More

Fun and function - great way to get around the city and the French Quarter without the nightmare and cost of parking. Buy a day pass and use it all day and night until 4:00 am - only 3.00. It does get very crowded at times and they cram people in
