Have correct change when you board and ask for the driver where your destination is on the route. Cheap transportation and nice to see sights without having to walk.

We took the green street car from Canal street to magazine street and loved it. Great way to see neighborhoods without having to deal with parking. Trains were clean, charming with vintage wood seats. Loved it!

Awesome way to see the sights, sounds, and get your bearings of this amazing city! Offering a hop on, hop off pass, this is a great deal financially. We were able to explore the North, South East and West, with no fear for safety. Friendly conductors would quickly answer our questions. Riders generally seemed to be happy to be on... More

Taking the street car to dinner was one of the best decisions I made on this trip. The ride took about 45 mins to get to my destination but so worth it. Riding on the strret car gives you the opportunity to see all the mansions, parks and universities. It really shows you how beautiful this city is and makes you... More

My husband and I rode the St. Charles Streetcar (the Green line) out to the end of the Garden District and back into town. Loved seeing all the beautiful homes decorated for Christmas. There were very few passengers, I guess being Christmas Eve morning. We took it to the end of the line where a street car was waiting for... More

Rode it from beginning to end and back on a mild & sunny day, clang-clanging along and rocking with the rails. 40 cents per one-way for a senior (exact change needed) was a pleasant surprise.

This is a fun and inexpensive way to travel around New Orleans. The streetcars are easy to use and clean. It can become crowded on the more popular routes but we didn't wait long for seats to become available.

On every visit to New Orleans we ride the streetcar out St. Charles and back. The Christmas lights were beautiful and the other riders were in a happy mood.

Took St. Charles line up to Garden District. Good to get around, but very crowded and not very frequent schedule.

For a couple of bucks you can climb aboard a rickety clackety streetcar and roll on down Canal and/or St. Charles Avenue and breathe in the thick humid air of New Orleans. If you do this in the summer know that you should bring a bottle of water so you don't dehydrate since you'll sweat a bucket and these streetcars... More
