If you are near a stop or near Canal street this is a convenient way to get around. Best buy the all day Jazzy pass. If you can familiarize your self with the routes first that is helpful.

We bought a daily pass every day we were there. $3.00 WHAT A BARGAIN. Such a pleasant way to travel around the city and the schedules are so easy. Loved it.
Getting around New Orleans can require a lot of walking, which our family did, but when you needed to get several blocks down it was best to take the streetcars. We bought a day pass, which is the best way to ride. We were able to get on any streetcar we wanted and as many times. We went into the...

We went on this as our U.K. friends had heard about it and were very interested in seeing the New Orleans Garden District. So, not having anything better to do but punish our livers, we joined them.
Three bucks a head later we got on the car and off we went. Yeah! Right!
No, not actually.

The streetcar is a great way to see the city in an air conditioned environment. Instead of spending $1.25 for a single ride, I suggest spending $3.00 on a day pass for unlimited rides in case you want to hop on and off.
The prices are good, and it's a terrific way to get around at an unhurried pace. Take the Canal Street line all the way to the end, tour the cemeteries, and ride back...
it's so retro, so old-school, so rickety and wonderful. if you're in NOLA and headed up St. Charles, it's the way to go. I'll be glad when they reopen the track all the way to Carrollton. be sure to have the exact change ($1.25) when you board.
$3 for a all day pass on trollies that get you around the French Quarter.or if a Senior {65 and older} 40 cents for each trip. The ride is a wonderful event in itself....The driver s are so laid back and don't seem to be bothered when being asked directions.....scenic views.....and who doesn't like riding a street car?
New Orleans is not the same without the experience of traveling on a streetcar. It's a great way to get around many areas of New Orleans and it's convenient. You can get an all day pass which lets you get on and off with no restrictions.
The streetcars link up downtown and is the best way to commute to almost anywhere you need to go. Take advantage of the $3 all-day pass (good til 4am daily) and save your car from the traffic peril and keep your expensive gas. Waits are short and the drivers are very friendly and helpful.
