It had been a long time since I rode a New Orleans street car so was excited to ride with my son recently. Even with the gap in the Saint Charles line due to construction on the rail car line, we still enjoyed riding the street cars. If you ride the Saint Charles line from South Carrollton or Loyola and... More

at 3.00 for an all day ride this is a great way to see some great sites in New Orleans as well as a good way to get to some out of the way places away from the city. This is not a tour bus, it is part of the public transportation system, so if your trying to get on... More

Take the opportunity to travel like a local, in a historic fashion to your destination. The streetcars are cheap ($1.25/exact change) and convenient. Cars come with frequency, drivers are engaging and helpful. It was a fun way to get around.

Look how many cities have street cars in the America? Not many if any. Fun rides along Canal St, St Charles, St and Riverfront line. A $1.25 is one way. Get the $3.00 and ride all for one day. If your 65 and over it's .40 cents one way. Some cars are NOT air conditioned, but that is part of... More

Lots of fun for a nominal amount. Seniors really get a great break on the price, but bring exact change. Take the one that goes to the WWII museum.

The streetcars in New Orleans are great. The routes they take are exactly what we wanted to see, such as St Charles Street and the route to go the the French market. They go down Canal Street and if we had known that the Saints (my favourite team) were playing on the Friday night, we would have taken the streetcar... More

In my opinion a visit to New Orleans deserves at least one streetcar ride. They are not express trains or "rapid" transit, they meander rather slowly down their route and stop at the designated street car stops and will also stop at a non-designated stop if a passenger pulls the stop cord. When you get on one of the cars... More

You can't beat the price as it's 3$ for a day pass. However,I found hat the cars don't pass very often and once you are on board, they stop a lot and do not go fast so it takes a while to get where you wanna go. I guess for the price, you don't have the right to complain too... More

This is a great way to get around for the low price of $3 per day. I would recommend it if you don't want to bother with parking.

I left college 43 years ago. After a big football game my wife and I could not find a taxi. We took the street car from Tulane University to our hotel in downtown. It moved slow and has 100 year old technology. It gave us a marvelous opportunity to study the Garden District in more detail. It's an experience that... More
