If you're based in the French Quarter, the WWII National Museum is easy to reach by foot -- about one mile from the heart of the French Quarter. Or, you can board the #12 St. Charles trolley line (direction: Garden District) at Canal and Carondelet, get off at Lee Circle (7 stops), and walk towards the Robt E Lee Circle,... More

You can get to so many places on the Streetcar network. Get the All-day pass for $3 and you can get from the Garden District to the French Quarter in like ten minutes.

Incredibly cheap. $3.00 gets you and all day ride as much as you want pass. We rode from Canal St. Down St. Charles Ave and up Carrelton. The old green streetcars date back to the turn of the 20th century and are not air-conditioned, unlike the new red streetcars. The driver calls out stops that are the places for points... More

All-day pass is inexpensive and good for any public transportation venue. We rode the Canal Street line from the river to the cemetery.

We used the streetcars for one day of our visit to New Orleans. We went out to the art museum. The trip was very long as the streetcars move very slowly. We also took a couple of other lines that day, they all moved at similar speeds. They are fine to use if you don't have an alternative that is... More

I took the cable cars to the cemetery then you get to see not just down town NOLA but also more local. It is quite nice and the cars are so cute. I think it was around USD 1,5.

Last week we spent four days in the warehouse district and daily we took the street cars over to visit locations in the Garden District it was a wonderful ride and for $1.25 fare can't beat it it's a great way to travel east west across neighborhoods in New Orleans
