When in NOLA, Frenchmen St is the place to go for music. There are many lively bars with great music. We were drawn to Maison by the open atmosphere & amazing musicians that we could see even before entering. Many of the bars are shrouded in curtains...probably wonderful spots but a little intimidating. Maison is lively & friendly. The food... More

Located on Frenchman street, Maison is non-stop Jazz from about 7pm until whenever. The requirement is a one drink per set with each set about 45 minutes with a 15 minute break - no cover. They offer food, although I did not partake. Drinks are served in proper glasses until the bartenders tire of washing dishes when the switch to... More

Stopped in for a bite and some music. The pork po boy was yummy. The bar has room for a bit of dancing. This is a chill place to catch a free show on a friday afternoon, but don't forget to tip the band!

Stumbled upon this place after a recommendation from our Segway tour guide. Loved it. Great atmosphere, great food and on the night we were there fantastic music. Would recommend and if I am ever lucky enough to go back to NOLA then this would be my first stop.

This is a four-star bar with three-star food and five-star music. It is on Frenchmen Street, just outside the French Quarter, and the street is worth a visit for the funky, authentic vibe, interesting music and restaurants. Maison is a music venue that makes some good drinks. We ate there, but the food wasn't outstanding. It's the music that makes... More

Cabbed it down to Frenchman Street and started walking. The music coming from the brass jazz band drew us in. Mixed drinks were reasonably priced and good. We stayed for a table to hear more from the band. The alligator balls were good and spicy, but the burger sliders were the bomb. The meat was fresh and tasty and charred... More

We went in because there was a wonderful group singing as we walked in the front door. We were seated and ordered a drink and 5 minutes later, they said they were taking a SHORT break. During their break, a band in the back started warming UP AND that went on for one hour and still was going on when... More

This was a great place to stop and listen to some zydeco music along Frenchman street. We did not eat but had drinks. There was a large area for dancing and lots of people were dancing and having a good time. We enjoyed our stop. I would come here again.

Second time I've eaten here. The ambience is great and the band was awesome. Our server took care of us and the food is magnificent. I had a portabella mushroom po boy which was out of this world. This please is a gem and a must visit when you're in New Orleans.
