This cruise was really fun. You sail on the ship down the Mississippi River on a large and comfortable paddle ship. There are snacks and drinks and you can sit outside or inside. There is narration along the river giving history and interesting facts. The boat docks at the battle site for the Battle of New Orleans. There is a... More

For about $26.50 (Sr's) you get a historical revue on the Miss. Riv. as you travel for about an hour and a half. Lunch, drinks, live jazz, deck viewing all make it a worthwhile "voyage" and part of a nice afternoon.

Fabulous cruise along the Mississippi River; great commentary; pleasant accommodations-seating comfortable, not overly crowded, handled boarding and de-boarding effectively, efficiently and safely. Lost a full star for insuffient time at the highlight for the cruise: a National Park Ranger talk/tour of the 1815 Battle of New Orleans. We no sooner got there then the ranger said we did not have... More

My daughter and I took this river cruise up to where the battle of New Orleans was fought. Having sung the song "In 1814 we took a little trip . . . . " this was a lot of fun for me to see what it looked like in real life. The trip up and back was very pleasant, seating... More

This is an electric paddle boat that goes down the Mississippi to the place where the battle of New Orleans took place and you get time to look around and hear a talk by a ranger. We did not eat on the boat. Cost us about 28 dollars each. And felt it was worth doing.

The trip was great once you get on the boat. If you are looking to see the Battle of New Orleans site do not take this trip on Mondays. There is not Park Ranger at the Battle Site on Mondays, and be prepared to walk briskly for any site seeing of the battle site as the boat doesn't give that... More

If you are looking for history at the battlefield find a different way to get there. The cruise does not give you enough time there. Boat ride is fine.

We had the 2 hour cruise, at 2pm. it was a very cold day, sunny but biting wind. Had a tour guide on the microphone telling all on board about the places we was passing. After about 45 minutes the boat turned round to go back and we decided to go in the bar area to be a little warmer.... More

I took this cruise alone and also purchased the lunch buffet. I would recommend buying the buffet instead of a-la-carte since about 2 items equaled one buffet ticket. there was a lot of confusion about the food and how that worked. There was a large group that was on board and did not understand the options, which led to more... More
