We took the ride which includes the Chalmette battlefield tour, one hour. The vessel is clean and modern, staff is friendly, commentary is good.

While walking around the river front, we saw the Creole Queen and decided last minute to take the cruise. Its about 2 1/2 hrs long. You go down the Mississippi aways and stop at a battlefield from the war of 1812. You have about 45 minutes there and then head back to New Orleans. They narrate as you cruise along... More

We booked for the evening cruise for Thursday night and told to pick the tickets up at 6.45pm. When we arrived at the kiosk next to the boat there was a note on the window cruise cancelled, ring this number. No one was around to rebook why ? We rang the next day and was put onto a Saturday night... More

My husband and I were looking forward to our dinner jazz cruise but were disappointed. Granted we went during off season but there were 30 people at best on the boat so not a terribly great atmosphere. The band was pretty decent and even played our song, but other than that very average. Food was ok (nothing compared to the... More

I expected much more. For the dinner we were sited on the lower deck where you cannot see anything through windows. Good that we came an hour earlier and had a dinner before the cruise started. The food was average and views were far from scenic. The most beautiful views were the views of New Orleans. The understanding that you... More

More for a group than a couple. Food was decent and they have a jazz or Dixieland band playing. If Bourbon Street is a bit of a grind, then this is a place to check out.

I was uncertain about this cruise, but if there is water close on our vacations, I want to be on it! My husband and I had a lot of fun on the afternoon Chalmette Battleground cruise. I think the key is to set expectations. Since we travel across the Mississippi river many times during the year, I already knew that... More

Love travelling down the river "old style". We sat on the upper level outside - it was fantastic to see all the things on both sides of the river. The Captain (?) was very informative. It's a nice way to learn something new, relax and take in the sites all at the same time. It would have been nice to... More

Was looking forward to the river cruise as part of my New Orleans vacation. Food was fine, drinks very expensive. Ours was an evening cruise and you couldn't see anything along the river other than lights and outlines of buildings. No narration so you had no idea where you were at. If I were to do again (which I won't),... More
