Great Afternoon Adventure!!

A disappointing trip. Nothing but a cruise in the river. Most of the history told was about passing boats and not quite historical besides the battle field and little about it. Had we known before hand we would brought books to read. Pretty boring I would call it and I felt i wasn't the only one. Many others on that... More

We took an afternoon cruise and saw New Orleans from the river! The beauty of the city came through even more on this lovely boat. The captain gave interesting facts and pointed out the "work" done on the river by the tug boats and larger ships. Restful, fun.

We had a wonderful time there, despite the rain. The food and drinks were accompanied by jazz music. After that We just relaxed and enjoyed the view.

We enjoyed our river cruise to Chalmette Battlefield along the Mississippi river - it was good value for money & it was good to combine a river cruise with another activity by visiting a historical site. The cruise has a commentary on the way upriver, so we found it best to set on the upper deck outside to get the... More

Took a lunch cruise on a whim and am glad we did! The cruise/lunch/short tour of civil war battle sight was very reasonably priced. The lunch buffet had authentic NOLO food that was not overly spicy and everything we had was excellent. The cruise was very informative with a lot of local history and river information. We even visited the... More

The two hour trip was just enough entertainment for my four-year-old and gave me an interesting history lesson of lower end of New Orleans. I wasn't too impressed with the tour conducted by the park ranger; I couldn't hear his voice over the crowed. The battlefield is small and the house could only be toured on the bottom floor. The... I discovered this looking for Easter themed activities in New Orleans for you kids. It is held every year the Saturday afternoon before Easter. The boat is beautifully decorated. We were greeted with a chance to get a picture with the bunny then ushered into the next room where the kids could hold an alligator, get a balloon animal made... More

The riverboat cruise was over crowded, people let their children run wild, block walkways and steps. We made it to the battlefield, but there was some kind of problem and had to wait for buses to come pick us up. no apologies, refunds, or explaination. would not recommend

2 hours was just long enough for this trip. It was great to experience the steamboat and see some more of the port. Short stop at the Battle of New Orleans site was not particularly thrilling but it was an opportunity to stretch our legs and was quite a novelty to view from the losing side!
