We booked this cruise as we wanted to sail down the Mississippi go to the battlefield rather than just sail in the harbour area. We booked a 10.45 am sailing so imagine our surprise when we saw the boat chugging down the river as we were making our way to the embarkation point. Yes we had missed the sailing because... More

Just back from NOLA and took this riverboat cruise. Was a 2 1/2 hour cruise that stopped at the battlefield were the battle of New Orleans took place. There was food and drink for purchase on board the ship and a narrator that explained some history of New Orleans and the Mississippi River. The guide was a former social studies... More

I bought a groupon for this cruise (a day trip with one stop). Was definitely fun to see the city from the Mississippi. Going out and coming in we had some beautiful views. The rest of the cruise involved views of an old plantation, a former (rebuilt) military base, factories, and unused ships. This tour also stops at the National... More

While exploring the riverwalk, we stumbled upon this tour. Not bad. It was informative and we got to explore a battleground.

My boyfriend and I had an amazing time on the historical tour. The food was amazing and decently priced as was the trip (groupon!). The tour guide Charles was so funny and captivating. He did a great job explaining the battle against the English and also provided a personal account of what happened during Hurricane Katrina. His first hand accounts... More

On our last night in New Orleans we took this cruise. It was a relaxing end to a busy week. The meal was banquet like and basic. Music was played during dinner then we went outside on the deck. We could no longer hear if there was music except for a strolling banjo player. Drinks could be purchased inside and... More

My boyfriend got the Groupon for the historic day tour. We wernt really sure what to expect. We were very happy we got the groupon. The ferry is charming. Charles the tour guide starts off with very interesting facts about New Orleans. Mixed in with these facts his very witty humor comes throug. As a local, he was very knowledgeable... More

The Creole Queen Paddlewheel Steamer cruise of New Orleans and the Chalmette Battlefield offers a nice break from walking the French Quarter. The narration is great and provides a good overview of Andrew Jackson's Army's stunning defeat of the superior British Army at the battle and the British retreat in disarray, with four of their top officers killed in the...
