We went on the Creole Queen for the dinner cruise. The food was great! However, not to many seafood choices. One of our friends, only eats seafood. The service was great! The jazz band was wonderful. The steamboat was well kept and very relaxing. We had a blast.

It's fun to cruise down the Mississippi River and learn about the history and sites. It's even more fun when you can get off, stretch your legs, and visit the site of the battle of New Orleans. Be sure to learn about the history of the battle from the US Park Ranger. You can get discount coupons on-line.

The Creole Queen Cruise was great. I highly recommend taking the Chalmette Battlefield Cruise, it was great. If you get motion sickness easily, this is a better cruise because there is a stop. When you board the boat, they offer to take your picture, which our group did and you can buy a photo for $10.00 and get it electronically.... More

We had a fabulous dinner and excursion on the Mississippi River last week while visiting New Orleans, LA. The buffet had a wide variety of Cajun dishes that were all very tasty. There was plenty of food. The band was great and took requests. The staff was attentive to our needs and made us very comfortable.

When we visited we were going to the Battlefield. Before we could get on the photographer asked to take our photo, I politely declined. He said we had to and again I said I didn't want to. He bared the way to continue to board and told us that no one was allowed to board without their pictures. I am... More

Nice little trip along the Mississippi to the battlefield of the battle of New Orleans. It was very relaxing and enjoyable. The visitors center was also nice.

The buffet featured Louisiana cuisine, and was delicious. We were fortunate to have good weather - not rainy, and not too hot. The band was fun to listen/dance to. The photographer took great pictures of those who wanted them. The evening seemed to end too soon.

To get away from the hustle and bustle of the French Quarter + a $10 off coupon, we ventured to the Creole Queen 2 pm sailing Nice enough boat, friendly staff, ship in pretty good shape compared to other similar type-boats I have been on Off we went! at the speed of my 88 year old father walking....slow slow slow;... I was really thrilled to have managed to get tickets to go out on the Mississippi at the time of the fireworks in New Orleans for the 4th of July celebrations. Contrary to the billing the paddle boat didn't leave shore until the fireworks were over ( these were also poor compared with other celebrations we have attended e.g. Mount... More

We did the tour of the Chalmette battlefield cruise. While it was a lot of fun, there is not much time to enjoy the battlefield and park. In the future, I would opt for the river cruise, and drive to the park to explore it.
