Last night in New Orleans, I booked a dinner riverboat cruise. Was concerned about the food because I had heard that the food on the Natchez was horrible. The food on Creole Queen was delicious!!! Very impressed with the jambalaya, gumbo and the brisket was amazingly tender. The boat was smooth sailing on the Mississippi River. The wait staff is... More

We were so excited to be taking the Creole Queen riverboat cruise with all of our fellow Elks in June. We purchased 4 tickets at $100.00 a piece two of those were for my mother-in-law and father-in-laws anniversary gift. We had been waiting for months and months. Our cruise was to include all you could eat hors d'oeuvres, live entertainment,... More

We boarded near the reopened River Walk Outlet. Got on the 1:30 pm. ride on the Mississippi River. There was narration along the route pointing various spots. It's more industrial than scenic. But worth it. We stopped and got out at the site of the battle of 1814 There are refreshments for purchase.

My family and I enjoyed the cruise, it was nice to view New Orleans from the water. We also enjoyed the stop at the Chalmatte Battlefield site. It is very open and hot at the site, make sure you are prepared with a hat and water, many people went back to the boat. The drinks were good and the bartender... More

Took basic cruise with the family. A boat ride down the Mississippi. Stopped at the site of the Battle of Orleans. If you're struggling to find something to do there are worse rides

Took the Chalmette Battlefield Cruise from the Riverwalk at the foot of Canal Street to the Chalmette Battlefield monument and back. It is a good way to see the riverside from New Orleans. As a working river a significant part of this experience is the industry along the river. As a Canadian I should know more of the War of... More

This cruise goes down the Mississippi and shows the history and todays importance of the river. It is fully narrated and lots of outside seats to view everything. The restaurant buffet is great and well worth eating there. Also live Jazz music to keep you in the spirit

We took the Creole Queen because the steam driven paddle boat was out of service for maintenance - but we really weren't disappointed. We did the Chalmette Battlefield tour. We sat outside in the shaded area, which is a welcome break from the lunchtime August sun. There is an air-conditioned room too. The Captain gave us an really interesting guide... More

We thoroughly enjoyed this excursion. We found a Groupon and used it to take this tour. It lasted about 2 1/2 hours and included a stop at Chalmette Battlefield which was especially interesting.
