Like most others, we really enjoyed this tour. Darren was very informative and as for us, we enjoyed the little musical bits that he played during his narrative. We enjoyed the City Park stop as well as the stop at Metarie Cemetery. We learned a lot about New Orleans and would recommend this tour to get the overall picture. For... More

This was an interesting tour as it took us through the parts of New Orleans still devastated by hurricane Catrina, as well as the more touristy areas. The bus was comfortable, not too large and well air conditioned. The driver was well informed and had a lot of great (maybe dubious) anecdotes. I would have rated the tour higher, but... More

We were picked up at our hotel as were all the participants. The tour itself started going through The French Quarter with very good descriptions of the various locations. I cannot remember all the places we visited but going past the Ninth Ward and seeing all the devastation was heartbreaking. Those houses were peoples homes, some have rebuilt but there... More

As another reviewer said, we also had Darren as a guide and we enjoyed the tour. For the most part you are sitting in the bus so make sure you get a window seat. I say it is a good introductory tour as if you see something you really like, you can go back another time. I would recommend the... More

We had Darren as a guide and we enjoyed the tour. No need for me to repeat what everyone else said. Look for a groupon to save money.

We had completed our fishing trip and were looking for something to do before heading to the airport. Chose a three hour mini bus tour with Southern Style Tours Very educational and informative with lots of laughs thrown in. Our driver was very knowledgeable, took time to explain how the levee and pumping system worked and how much of the... More

Southern Style Tours. Highlights; Speculation about whether the Corps of Engineers blew the Levees during Katrina to Flood poor districts. Seating that makes airline economy seats seem spacious. No discernible itinerary or plan to guide the tour. Fragmentary comments interspersed with musical bits apparently intended to illustrate something. A guide whose knowledge would challenge the average fourth grader. The guide... More

We recently went on a Southern style city tour and I would definately would recommend if you want a snapshot of what New Orleans has to offer. The guide was friendly and bubbly and appeared to be very knowledgeable about the history of New Orleans. We throughly enjoyed our day seeing everything from seeing the French Quarter to having a... Greg was an amazing tour guide and made the trip very interesting. Being a NOLA native he could add perspective and stories that you wouldn't get anywhere else. Our tour really felt like 3 tours in one. We drove all over the city to see all of the culture NOLA has to offer and then spent some time in City... More

Really fun tour! They are so lively and knowledgeable, and pick you up right from your hotel. You make a stop halfway through in city park where there is a little beignet cafe, and shortly after that a cemetery stop with gorgeous elaborate tombs to photograph. Then a side stop at an area where the levee broke during Katrina, which... More
