I've done a few swamp tour but this was real. We really felt the smell of the alligators, we feed them. Boat was comfortable, not crowded. Captain was good on jokes. Attraction was not a short one. Nearly one and a half our journey. Get your bottle of water, mosquito repellent spray, screams and your happiness there. At the end... More

The Cajun Encounter swamp tour is a fun trip through the Bayou that is perfect for families. We took the general tour (not the small boat or night tour) and enjoyed it immensely. The boat held about 20 which was not too large to prevent you from getting all the up close and personal time you want with the local... More

This was my second trip to New Orleans and I decided to take a bus tour so that I could see more of the city than I was able to see walking around on foot. The bus picked us up right in front if our hotel. We went to the cemetery and were allowed to walk around on our own... More

The price and the drive was worth it! Up close to alligators and wild pigs! I recommend this place, you will not be disappointed.

this tour was okay. the driver was knowledgeable, and her tour was engaging. the hotwire description of this tour indicated that the world war II museum was included in the tour, and that "admission fees" were included in the cost of the tour, so we were expecting to stop at the museum. i figured the stop would be relatively short,... We did the swamp tour with the brilliant tour guide Bishop, who was funny, entertaining and not scared to answer any question thrown at him! We saw more gators than I could count and took so many photos that my hand cramped up. We also saw a raccoon, turtles, wild hogs, blue herons. I think we were extremely lucky with... More

We had a groupon for the bus tour which also provided a discount for their swamp tour. We were in New Orleans for the week and took the noon bus tour. The bus driver was informative and friendly. The route provided a good orientation of the city. We took the 9am swamp tour on Monday. The driver was also informative... More

Took the evening tour (5pm) with Cajun Encounters & we certainly got up close & personal with various sizes of Alligators! Our great guide, Captain Ryan, found the best locations to see & feed the 'gators & was very knowledgable when it came to answer any questions we had but kept it fun too. The scenery just got better and... More

If you have a car, drive your self and save $20.00. It was a great experience the Captain was really good, he is a native and it was very well informed regarding the fauna and the flora of the area. We went in July do it was very hot and very humid, so wear confortable clothes, if you are the... More

We had an awesome time on our morning swamp tour! The swamp was gorgeous and we saw lots of gators and wild pigs. They feed the gators from the boat, so the alligators really close and we got some amazing video and pictures. The bus was on time, the boat was fine and captain was knowledgeable -- he could identify... More
