We took an early swamp tour and got Captain Greg, who was very informative and knowledgeable. He encouraged questions and had funny and interesting things to say about just about everything. The swamp was beautiful and we got to see an alligator, even in the middle of December. Captain Greg seemed especially keen on showing us one. A very enjoyable... More

We had a great shuttle driver named Edward that told us about the areas we went through. At the location we had captain Greg who was absolutely awesome. I highly recommend this experience!

I took the swamp tour and the city/cemetery tour and both were great. I think swamp would be even more amazing in the warmer months, but even in mid-December we saw a baby gator and a bunch of cool birds and turtles. Captain Bishop was very entertaining and definitely knows his way around the swamp. The following day I took... More

Knowledgeable and friendly tour guide, comfortable transportation. This tour takes you all around the city, French Quarter, treme, ninth ward, uptown, warehouse district, garden district, cemetery, city park. Liked--- covered a lot of territory and guide was informative Disliked--- only get off the bus twice, at the cemetery and city park (bathroom break and paying for the tour) so not... More

Took the city tour with John on Thursday, 12/11, and it was excellent! A small group and a comfortable bus but John is what really made the tour awesome. He was a wealth of knowledge and narrated during the entire tour! I tried to listen and appreciate everything he was saying but there was a lot of info. The next... More

The Honey Island swamp is beautiful, no matter what time of year, but I did expect you see more on this trip. The your guide was informative but a little dismissive of questions and I wasn't sure what to make of the guides using marshmallows to lure the animals closer to the boat. I couldn't help feeling that there should... More

We did the flat bottom boat ride with Captain Greg. He certainly made it fun with his excellent sense of humour and great knowledge of the swamp lands on Honey Island . We thoroughly enjoyed our Cajun swamp encounter.

Was picked up at the hotel promptly. Trip to the site was about 45 min. We were 17 in our boat. Sitting is arranged side-by-side towards each side of the boat so you'll see great on your side. We saw some interesting views of houses along the river, a few small gators and the Raccoon family that are spoiled with... More

we are glad you enjoyed your trip. the winter time on the swamp is definitely different from the summer time. although there are times when the larger animals will not be out, you will see things that your wont see in the summer. for instance, your migratory birds(ducks, ibis, etc..), more variety of flowering plants, and more of the swamp... We did the plantation tour of Laura and Oak alley. The bus was comfortable and it was nice not to have to wait in line to buy tickets as this is already done. There was a bit of a wait to go into Oak alley but that allowed for photos and some getting to know you of fellow travelers. Two... More

Hi Kim C, Thank you for touring with us and for your review. We are happy to hear that you had a good time on the excursion and that you liked each of the plantation homes. Could the three star review have been for the wait time to get into Oak Alley? We do work hard to make the itinerary... More
