Went for the dinner cruise. The food was ok, but the dining room is so large that you were not close to the musicians. The audio system that piped them to other parts of the ship was terrible. The tour itself was disappointing. Let's face it; the sites from the boat in this part of the river are pretty ugly.... More

We were very pleasantly surprised by the professionaism of our guide/narrator when we took the 2 hour afternoon tour. So many landmarks and those with historic significance were pointed out to us and described in interesting detail. The ship can hold up to 1200 people, however it never felt crowded and there were plenty of seats for everyone distributed on... More

We did not get the buffet so I cannot comment on the food quality except to say that it all looked very appetizing. First, we were treated to a calliope concert while the boat was in dock (you do not have to buy tix to hear/ see the concert). Then the boat trip: an approx. 2 hour ride on a... More

This is a very commercial trip and not all that mush from a historical standpoint. We took the trip earlier and decided on this trip would would pass up any more trips on the Natchez. The boat needs some paint.

Before boarding the Natchez the calliope is played, which is a fun way to start the trip. The ride down the Mississippi was relaxing & there was a lot of interesting information. We opted to have the Sunday brunch, which frankly was not very good. The egg casserole was very dry & cold. The ladies working the buffet line all seemed... More

I wanted to let you know how disappointed we were regarding our recent trip on the Natchez. We were in the second sitting for dinner so on arrival on the boat we were in a tiny bar along with 50% of the other passengers trying to get a drink. Unfortunately the weather was not kind to us but surely you... More

We were careful to pick a day when good weather was predicted and enjoyed our trip down the Mississippi River. The narration of what we were passing during the trip was quite interesting but the jazz group was disappointing. There were plenty of seats available on the upper deck as the tables were somewhat reserved for those who opted for... More

Do not do the Natchez if the weather is cold & windy. Judging from the size of the boat, we assumed there was adequate seating. When we got onboard, we found all of the tables reserved for tour companies. My husband and I got 2 of the last 4 tables left. They were less than comfortable accommodations. We sat shoulder... More

I had read reviews so we decided to go for the afternoon tour and it was great. Adding lunch was only about $10 more so it was worth it. The boat goes about an hour one way then circles back. Everyone had a great time, some of my friends bought the unlimited cocktails which was only another $10-12. You could... More
