The place where vampire's shop. The boutique features items crafted by local artists. Some of the items include stained glass bats and gargoyles, gothic jewelry, hats, capes and costumes created by our seemstress Lady Angelic, and our famous fortune candles that we have to select for each customer. Visiting the boutique is an experience you will never forget. We like to keep our customers for eternity.

Perhaps we expected more based on the web story and the reviews - so we left a bit underwhelmed. However, the selection was interesting and the displays well done. The lady seemed helpful.

This was our first visit to New Orleans, and the shopkeeper was very friendly and welcoming. She even took time to recommend several other places around town that we should visit. She enthusiastically described many of the items for sale, as well.

From the moment you walk in here, it's like you're greeted by an old friend. Marita is welcoming, helpful, informative and all round, definitely awesome! There are goodies in this shop that I have never seen anywhere else - a great range of unique items with a fantastic atmosphere!

So glad that we stopped in to this quaint little shop. It's filled with many unique items, including books, journals and necklaces that were used on The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, and in the Twilight Series. She even guided us in the direction of Clouse's home, which was featured in The Originals. Be sure to ask for her map of... More

I went with my girlfriend to the boutique the weekend of New Years and we stopped by the shop to get her a pair of fangs made (which she adores!) Marita was so sweet and suggested The Casquette Girls book to me. She said I would absolutely love it, and she was so right! I read it a week after... More

As you can imagine, the city of New Orleans caters for quite a few occult/voodoo -type shops, particularly in the tourist-orientated French Quarter. NOLA has that sort of atmosphere and following - all very "True Blood" - and we were there for Halloween of all times. But of a number such shops that we stuck our heads into in the... More

On our first day in NOLA we set out for a stroll around the French Quarter to browse the shops before our first tour. We winded up here and purchased some beautiful souvenirs. The storeowner chatted with us and ended up suggesting several haunted places to visit throughout the French Quarter and specific things to do at each location. Her... More

This shop is a delight from the moment you step inside. The place is FULL of amazing things. Handmade candles that smell amazing, stunning jewelry, beautiful objects and prints by local artists, authentic voo-doo dolls, and (of course) a lot of gear for creatures of the night. Most of her books are signed by the authors. Make sure you look... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
