Just returned from an 11 day cruise on the Delta Queen from Nashville TN to Pittsburgh, PA. I have to say I think it is the best vacation I have ever had. It was my first cruise. We have just returned from a week on the Mississippi River, aboard Majestic America's "Delta Queen," steamship. This magnificent steamship was incredible in so many ways. We have never experienced such a wonderful "pampering," as we received from the crew of the Delta Queen. Our stateroom had fresh towels, bedding and fresh ice twice a day. We enjoyed our trip on the Delta Queen from Nashville to Chattanooga. It is an old steamboat built in 1927 so the cabins are very small and simple and ours opened on to the deck.
