Best place in the world for New Orleans music. Staff is amazing and quite helpful. I,ve bought at least 200 cds over the last 10 years here. Linda is great to deal with and answers all your questions. I go there everytime I visit this great city. This store a must for all music lovers.

This record store is awesome. I learned so much from being there. Picked up CD's of several different styles of indigenous music.

This is where to go to find local musician cds! And tons of vinyl. Prices are fair and the selection is good. I went in there for jazz music... but they have all kinds. They also sell other things besides music... post cards and posters and the like. I definitely recommend stopping in. And don't forget to pet the cat!

This is an excellent place to get lost in and listen to, and buy local music. Their selection of jazz, blues, brass, and other more obscure local genres is quite good. The staff are very knowledgeable, as well, and can answer most questions quickly, or find the answers for you in short order. This is a great stop on the... More

Always excited to visit a new store selling second-hand/original press vinyls. LMF an Ok range of music genres - best on jazz -but not special, compared to others in the state or USA. I was willing to overlook them using window cleaner (?!) to shine the vinyls but when I asked the condition of one LP (a standard enquiry I'd... More

It"s great to see a traditional jazz and local music cd & record store next to the French Quarter. As the name suggests the store excels in Louisiana music. For rock there is a modest selection of used CDs at attractive prices. The vinyl selection is larger and growing as you would expect. There is a wall of collectible records... More

I found what I was hoping for. I wanted blues records recorded in Chicago. I found some at a great price. Excellent vinyl conditions! The staff was a little rude in my opinion. No hello and no goodbye. But I was happy anyways! I would gave 5*

Since moving to the Frenchmen Street spot, LMF has only gotten better. It's easier to find things and I don't feel cramped or get bumped around while browsing the rows and rows and rows of music. Staff's knowledge of their stock is outstanding. No matter whether I'm in town on business, vacationing or even just passing through, this is the... More

We stopped by this place on our tour of the French Quarter and it was a flash from the past with all of the records and albums. We bought 3 records. They were $3.00 a piece and we are going to use them for decoration. Nice little spot to peek in, if your in the area!
