Honestly, I just started going to The House of Blues for the atmosphere as I'm a big music fan, especially blues. The way that they decorate is so cool, but what I love about this House of Blues is The Voodoo Garden. It's a courtyard, just like most other places in New Orleans, with tables a bar and even an... We were excited to go to the Kirk Franklin Gospel Brunch in NOLA since we had been to HOB brunches in Myrtle Beach several times. This one became one of the highlights of our trip. There was a singer outside the main venue who was great. He sang a few songs and gave testimonies before the time to check in.... More

Large menu. Clean. Staff slow. Arrived restaurant empty and we were on a wait list for 10-15 minutes. Entertainment was very good. Food average. Steak ordered medium rare came more rare. Portions adequate.

Very easy to get to the House of Blues on Decatur St in NOLA. I was there with a party of 7 we didn't have a problem being seated nor did experience any issues with our orders. The house salad was excellent as well as the voodoo shrimp. Overall the atmosphere is nice and the staff very nice and friendly.... More

We went to the Gospel Brunch at the House of Blues and oh my goodness, we felt like we had been to church! The music was awesome and Ms. Wright's testimony was so touching. I can't forget the food! The brunch was delicious! They had a wonderful bread pudding that you must try if you go! It was a little... More

We had the final dinner of a convention here with a band playing. The food was decent, but the atmosphere was excellent and well worth the visit. Really capture the New Orleans spirit!

I felt like this place was a little too pricey for what it offered. Food was mediocre for price. Service was great!

The House of Blues is just a block away from The Quarter House Resort so I usually drop in when I am in New Orleans. Lots of big name acts perform at the House of Blues both on their way up and on their way down.

Hung out with some coworkers here. The drinks were fantastic. Excellent shots and apple pie moonshine. Cornbread was yummy. Wish I go a different main meal, had the soft shell crab po boy, which was monthly special but wasn't a fan. Other meals at the table were very well received and looked awesome!

If you get a chance, you and your coworkers might enjoy our Friday's Hot Out The Pot seafood boil 4-7pm. This Friday is our first week for shrimp. One serving includes 2 pounds of shrimp with corn and potatoes. We also have live music and specials on beer buckets. I hope you can give it a try. More
