The Bamboo Restaurant is in Harrah's Casino. The food was not that good. The portions were small. I ordered shrimp, got about a half scoop of rice, 4 brocclli floweretts and about 9 shrimp. Food was about the same as your local Takee-Outee. Service was average. I would not recomment this restaurant. more

Took a week-ender from Orlando, FL to the Big Easy June 25th through June 28th 2009. Although I'm not sure I'd go to New Orleans JUST for the gambling (there being SO MUCH to do there besides gaming), I did spend some time in the casino. The service and the staff were excellent. I played the tables a lot; limits... more

As far as casinos go...I'd go back to Vegas before I'd go back to Harrah's in New Orleans. The staff was not friendly...it took forEVER to get a drink while playing the slots, and speaking of slots....they were THE most frustratingly tight slots I've ever wasted my cash on....Come on folks...ya gotta throw a gambler at least a bone on... more

I was so impressed by the guest service we received at Harrah's. I've been to Vegas several times, Reno twice, Tahoe and smaller casinos in Colorado. I've never had better service anywhere than Harrah's. The bartenders, the food service employees, the floor managers, cocktail waitresses... All were fantastic. I felt like they appreciated us choosing to visit New Orleans and... more

I just spent the weekend, staying at the Windsor Court across the street, gambling in the casino. The casino staff, dealers, pit bosses, waiters, and waitresses were all competent and friendly. Lost a little money but had a great time while doing so. more

I've been going to New Orleans for years, in the past for work related issues, now as a tourist. Harrah's is an exceptionally "Class Act" in the City Of New Orleans. They have brilliantly partnered with hotels, restaurants, and businesses in the CBD and French Quarter area. Additionally, they are the reason for the expansion of Fulton Street adjacent to... more

During a family vacation, we decided to try the buffet at Harrah's casino. We had read several reviews on the food and were very eager to try it out. If the review mentioned an age limit on the restaurants, I must have missed it. We were met at the door by a very "matter of fact" guard who promptly asked... more

We visit New Orleans every year and my dad and sister always want to go to Harrah's and gamble. I personally hate loosing money but I watch them. Last year we went with high spirits expecting to have some good clean fun. At the entrance there is a man in a suit at a hostess like table to check your... more

I will start by admitting that we are not regular visitors to casinos; there is an Indian casino in Marksville, LA, near our home and we visit 2-3 times a year for a little gambling and a nice dinner. The people there are friendly and the experience is always very pleasant, even moreso when we win a little money!! We... more

I was in New Orleans for Jazz Fest 2006 (early May, 2006) and walked into Harrah's after a muggy day looking to spend an air conditioned hour exploring the casino. I had a bit of a chip on my shoulder in doing so, as I heard that historic properties were destroyed so that Harrah's could build their casino property. That... more
