If in New Orleans be sure to take the time to tour of National World War II Museum, it is well worth your time. The museum has been done in good taste and is very informative. Many people are trying to pretend that such a war never really happened. The Museum sets everyone straight. It is a wonderful monument to... more

This museum has great informational displays, airplanes, audio/video recordings, films, and uniforms of this war. Very moving and a great learning tool for children. They are expanding in the future and will have even more exhibits open. There's a parking lot next to the building that you pay to park. Easy to find. A cafe for snacks and gift shop. more

My girlfriend and I visited the WWII museum while down doing some rebuilding on July. The museum is well done. In each area there are short films that introduce visitors to certain times of the war. There are also great animated maps, artifacts from the war, and great propaganda posters. more

I'm not a big museum person, but this is one that I would highly recommend. Our extended family (three adult sisters and spouses, and our 89-year-old WWII vet father) visited on June 20, 2009. It was an incredible experience. We spent most of our time in the new Pacific theater exhibit and listened to our dad relate to the information... more

This is truly a great museum and moving experience. From the WWII veterans who are available there to greet you to the exhibits that show and tell the stories that made up the war, take your kids to this museum. I went with my wife and 10 and 11 year old girls who totally enjoyed the museum. It's a wonderful... more

Please set aside 3 to 4 hours and head to this museum. There is so much education and history to be learned ... and the layout is very clever: You ascend the museum viewing and learning about the Atlantic theater of WWII, and descend learning about the Pacific theater of war. This is an absolute MUST if you are in... more

We traveled to New Orleans because my husband's 85 year old father wanted to visit this museum. Grandpa landed on Utah Beach on D-Day and has developed an interest in World War II history. This is a good museum with well designed exhibits using a variety of media. They are building a large theater across the street that will open... more

My husband said the one thing he wanted to do while we were in New Orleans was to visit this museum. He loved it, and, to my surprise, I really enjoyed it as well. The exhibits are well-done, with lots of optional detail, so you can create your own visit at your own pace. Throughout the museum, there are volunteers... more

The WWII museum was moving and a historical delight. It's spartan when you first enter and we thought it would be the same throughout. We were wrong. We spent nearly three hours watching movies and reading and looking at the displays. Some are very moving. A good place to take the kids. We can't forget. And thank the veterans who... more

On a rainy day in New Orleans, we spent over 4 hours in this museum. While we enjoy history, what makes this museum so good is that they exhibits were not just facts, figures and maps, but the inclusion of testimonials given by those who were part of the Normandy beach landing. It was obvious that much time, thought and... more
