Be wary of the "I didn't get it" or the ones saying that Priestess Miriam was "rambling"... My visit to the temple has stuck with me. That is a powerful place. I do find it strange that that temple is where they take you at the end of the tour, because it's not a very touristy place. It's the real... More

My wife and I have and open mind to all religions and practices( as long as puppies and children are not hurt ). We happened to join a cemetary tour out of the french quarter that finished at the "voodoo temple". The "priestess" is incoherant and babbled about her life and other non sequiters and everything in betweeen for 30... More

We went here as part of tour to st Louis cemetery so we weren't out any extra money. That being said, it was a trip. Loads of shrines and just plain bizarre things let as offerings. We sat out in back of store as a group while Miriam spoke. I have absolutely no idea what she said but it was... More

Meeting Priestess Marion was an amazing experience. I am struck by her ability to be down to earth yet she exemplifies a universal traveler and if strait logic is what you are looking for, look elsewhere. She has much knowledge and wisdom, but it's hard to decipher what she is saying and she is a fierce defender of individual talents... More

Okay I have to say that I can see why some people would not “get” Priestess Miriam. You have to have an open mind to fully understand the experience. I’ve come here twice. I like the fact that her temple is not in a pretentious building. I don’t think that her gift shop is overpriced all that much. I purchased... More

ok, we want to start by saying that we are very open to all things dark, mysterious and spiritual which is why we sought out priestess miriam for our voodoo spiritual reading. and we were ready to expect eccentricities, unusual behaviour, mysterious happenings....but what we got was a garbled long winded mess of mumbo jumbo that was more like a... My adopted brother was visiting New Orleans for the first time and I took him to this voodoo temple. Priestess Miriam treated him almost like a member of the family! He felt very honored and blessed. If more people in this mixed-up world were as nice as Priestess Miriam there would be a whole lot less problems. The person from... More

Preistess Miriam has wisdom beyond her years, and talents most voodoo queens don't possess. Her history and her temple are extraordinary. Don't leave NOLA without seeing her! Wonderful gift shop with many unique voodoo items...dolls, oils, herbs, candles, books and more. Preistess Miriams expertise will guide you. A unique and unforgettable stop during your stay in NOLA.
