The garden and graveyard walking tour was a highlight of our trip. Rosemary, the guide, was very knowledgeable, and had a deep interest in the city and culture. We came away with a much better understanding of the truly unique nature of the history and culture. From napoleanic law (property rights for women) to creole culture (class over race), the... More

This tour is designed to tell the story of the early Creole (French) settlers in the New Orleans area and how their culture helped shape the experiences we tourists enjoy today. Bill was a great tour guide and story teller. He started out telling us that there were three definitions of the term Creole. And over the next two and... More

We had decided on this tour last minute and I was a little worried that a history tour might be a little stuffy. Boy was I wrong! Our tour guide Ina (pronounced like Tina without the "T") was an absolute pro. She was passionately informative about the rich history of the Duparc-LoCoul family and about the French Quarter in general.... More

Bill K took us on a high quality tour of the French Quarter while at the same time making us comfortable and showing us a great time. He took us to shady patios with lots of seating so we could listen comfortably to the interesting stories he had woven together to tell the story of a Creole family. This story... More

I loved this tour of the French Quarter. Bill is so knowledgeable about the area and the history of the LaCoul Family. The tour is tied to the history of this family, and stories about them. I really liked this take on a tour, the mixture of history and personal accounts. It made things come to life, and feel personal.... More

Bill gives a great tour at a good pace, with excellent history of New Orleans, via the life story of one Creole woman, an excellent mechanism that makes the tour and history flow. In addition to courtyards and houses that you will not get to see on your own, there's one of the best cemeteries and the Pharmacy Museum. Highly... More

Excellent tour & tour guide; our tour guide named Rosemary was so professional, spoke clearly while making eye contact with each person in the group. She allowed time for questions by anyone that wanted to participate "even the children" which is rarely exhibited. Her personality was exceptional; felt like it was on a personnel level. I would highly recommend this... More

This walking tour was a pleasant surprise! We had taken a plantation tour from another company earlier in the week to Oak Alley and the Laura Plantation. It was a great surprise to hear not only the "other side" of the story, but to see the homes that Laura's family owned in New Orleans. Rosemary was a great tour guide,... More

The walking tour conducted by Le Monde Creole Tours was truly exceptional. I took this tour because of the excellent reviews it had received on Tripadvisor. It certainly lived up to those reviews. We were able to see several beautiful courtyards and a famous cemetery in the heart of the French Quarter. Learning about the origins of the Creole culture... More

This is truly the hidden gem tour of NOLA. Our tour guide was Rosemary who was absolutely fantastic. Her family goes back 150 years in the area and she was so incredibly knowledgeable, I know she could have gone on for hours and hours sharing information. Yes, you can walk by all of the fascades on the beautiful buildings in... More
