We had Ina as our guide for this marvelous tour. Our two hours stretched to three as Ina improvised extra indoor sites when the skies opened. The history of New Orleans is complex and fascinating. Having it explained through the lives of one Creole family really gave it a human face. This tour is a great stand-alone excursion but added... More

I’ve read that Bill is a great tour guide, but our tour guide was Michelle and she was fantastic! She was sweet and charming and extremely knowledgeable and passionate about New Orleans and Creole culture. She shared so much information with us and all in a very well paced and easily absorbed format. The visits to various courtyards and other... More

Our trip to New Orleans held many highlights, but none could surpass the Le Monde Creole tour. Our incomparable tour guide, Bill, is a rare mix of scholar and showman able to make history sing. This tour is walked at a perfectly comfortable pace, affording a glimpse into French Quarter courtyards no tourists would find on their own. Bill's rendition... More

The guide for this tour was excellent! He seemed truly invested in sharing the history of "his city." The story of the family you follow is interesting and the family is real. You also get to enter some beautiful private courtyards. It ties in different types of sites with a good story.

Excellent tour of FQ, using one Creole Family to demonstrate the history and diversity of New Orleans. We got to see multiple courtyards, the pharmacy museum, and St. Louis Cemetery #1. Our tour guide, Bill, was informative, knowledgeable, and entertaining; a wonderful host and fabulous story teller. He made history interesting and dramatic, and not at all dry.

The tour was going fine, I was learning some things. We stopped in the cemetery, and after talking about the grave of Marie Laveau, our guide said we were going to take a bathroom break. They started walking away but we hung back for a moment to take a personal picture beside the grave since I am so interested in... More

Just back from NOLA, we truly enjoyed our tour, Lynn was our guide and was extremely interresting. Being french I got to converse with her in French. We took our two boys (12 and 7) and they did great. Access to courtyards that no other tourist has access to, and the story of the Lacoul family connected with Laura plantation... More

My wife and I have been visiting New Orleans one or more times a year for twenty years and we considered ourselves fairly knowledgeable about her and her history. We were wrong! This tour gave us multiple new insights and facts that we did not have before! The guide was a marvelous teacher who was personable, animated and entertaining. Many... More

Two friends independently highly recommended the French tours organised by Le Monde Créole. As on the last day we had left in NOLA there was no French tour, we took the English one. And we were not disappointed! Coming from Europe, it gave us a very unique insight in American history. History based on stories of real people. NOLA is... More

The Laura Plantation tour and our tour guide Jennifer were so good we decided to take their walking tour of the French Quarter as well. This tour and the tour guide was also amazing and we would recommend them both to everyone.
