We booked a private tour with Bill and I must say, he was a great guide. He's very knowledgeable and presents a lot of historical information in an easy and engaging manner. It was fun to go into the courtyards. You usually don't get to see such places as a tourist. I highly recommend this tour.

We had an excellent tour this morning. Bill K. had great stories and excellent historical info. There's a lot of walking on this tour but that's the best way to learn about the French Quarter. All in all a great day!!

I did a private tour with Bill and it was fantastic!! What else to say? We visited courtyards, he talked about architecture, plenty of history to interest me, and more. It really was great and I would actually love more. I did a lot of research before booking and am really glad I went with them!!

So glad I took this tour! Ina is extremely knowledgeable about the history of Louisiana and, in particular of New Orleans. It was very well paced with opportunities to sit and talk as well as use restrooms as needed. This tour gives access to normally closed spaces, which gives you an opportunity to understand better how people used to live... More

I had found Le Mode Creole online while researching how to see courtyards and gardens in the French Quarter. I am so glad we took this tour as opposed to trying to find these things on our own. Bill was extremely friendly and answered my e-mails and phone calls right away. He met us in the French Quarter where the... More

This tour is incredible, And Billy is AWESOME! I am a local, and went on this tour with two friends visiting from Florida. We loved every moment, and Billy is a doll and loves what he does, and it shows. This tour is not to be missed, and I highly suggest the private tour!

Although we are a group of people who can understand english, we were glad that we could book a french guided tour with Madame Michelle. A 3hrs walk of the french quarter, history of the city, creole people, the first pharmacy in NOLA, etc.. Very interesting tour. We had the chance to visit backyards of old houses with explanations of... More

Come one come all-the French Quarter Courtyards and Cemetery Tour was excellent. I knew next to nothing about the history of New Orleans (jazz, vampires, river boats, Katrina). Rosemary brought me and my group of friends back hundreds of years in time as we journeyed together through the streets of the French Quarter. There are surprises in store foh sure.... More

Brilliant tour with Bill on Creole culture in Nola. Lovely detail at every stop as the walk unfolded in the gardens and secret corners of the French Quarter. Thank you Bill from my family.

This tour was great! Our tour guide Rosemary is a local New Orleanian who clearly loves her city and its history. She shared many interesting and colorful facts and anecdotes that gave us a wonderful insight into life for Creoles, women, free people of color, the French, the Spanish, the Americans...etc. She covered a lot of history, and we toured... Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
