I see shows here a few times a year and my only complaint is you have to be on some elitist list to get in on the good seats and performances. When Book of Mormon came, it sold out before tickets even went on sale to the public, so I never had a chance to see something I've been waiting... More

Came here for a concert. Really nice acoustics and sight lines. Centrally located in the city with many bars and restaurants around. Parking is also fairly easy as there are quite a few lots within easy walking distance.

Came here for BYOB (Be Your Own Bae) night and I was very disappointed in the quality of the play I saw. It was badly written and the acting was mediocre at best. However, the building itself is beautiful and I loved walking around and exploring it.

There are several theaters in this space as well as art exhibitions and a great gift shop. In the basement is a wonderful intimate little theater that has a resident company.

Wonderful place...attended a play there and it was wonderful. Everything very organized and clean. Many attendants on site to direct you...parking could be a problem.

Acoustically comparable to Carnegie Hall but if you want to dance to the music you'd better stay home. Ushers are out of touch with movement - either too old and unaware or aggressive, surly would be bouncers that lack the acumen to accomplish that. However, the ticket office folks are extremely nice and helpful!

Attended the Hall & Oates concert at the Overture Center on Thursday July 30, 2015. The Overture Center is an excellent facility to view a concert. There did not appear to be a bad seat in the house. We had the luxury of viewing the concert from box seats. What a great experience. The facility is beautiful and the staff... More

I have been here a few different times, always happy with my seats and the theater. I attended a Hall and Oates concert my last visit and it was disappointing for a concert venue.

Madison's major performing arts center, built at great cost by generous contributors as well as public money, is a bit of a lost opportunity. Despite a name architect it is totally undistinguished on the outside, just a mashup of three unrelated older buildings (part of Madison's fetish for preserving anything old, regardless of merit). The interior is an impressive but... More

Went to see an opera and the exhibitions during the International Festival Weekend. The performance was fantastic. Great artwork exhibited all throughout the building. The employees are always attentive and polite and welcoming. The building's architecture is beautiful. They also host private events. If you are visiting the city or live here be sure to attend a performance or just... More
