An annual tradition for my husband and me is attending the Taste of Madison on the Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day weekend. We always arrive right at the start and have never had problems finding parking for our vehicle in nearby lots ($5 special event parking is very reasonable) or a nice spot on the capitol lawn for our... We came to support a dear friend in his 2nd Iron Man competition & loved the venue! The whole area is gorgeous from the lake & the quaint capital square... The building & area reminded me of Wash D.C. but a cozier, miniature version. How exhilarating it was to cheer on the many men & women who are giving their... More

The Capitol building in Madison is a sight to behold. Unfortunately on the day we visited it wasn't open to the public - due to the weddings being held there. It is hardly an exaggeration to say there seemed to be weddings everywhere on this fine Saturday afternoon in summer. The interior is well worth a visit - we've been... More

Saturdays. Don't miss this! Rain or shine. One of the best I've ever been to. Lots of food to eat on the spot and to take back home to cook. Very impressive.

Of course, you have to walk the capital square. the storefronts are unique. the coffee shop on the corner with the open-air atmosphere was wonderful for our morning coffee. can't wait to return to Madison again.

Check it out! Wow! Nice building. Inside is amazing. Grounds are beautiful. Don't forget to go to Teddy Wedger's and look at the artists out front. Many people find an art treasure of Madison there. Come on a Saturday from April til November and enjoy the Farmer's Market. Lots of fun things to see and do "On The Square"

The best time to visit the Capitol Square of Madison WI is on Saturday mornings when the Farmers' Market is on full swing. There's always the most beautiful flowers, fruits and vegetables to see, sense and eat. Did I mention the fresh curds? They are truly tasty! There's honey and beef jerkys and veterans for peace and hundreds of happy... More

The farmers market on Saturday was awesome. So many venders and so much to choose from! The square was very clean and people respected that. A fun way to get groceries, flowers & people watch!

Lovely square in the heart of Madison. The only negative was the several homeless people who appeared to be living on the benches in the square, with their multiple suitcases and shopping carts with all their belongings.
