The farmers market on Saturday was awesome. So many venders and so much to choose from! The square was very clean and people respected that. A fun way to get groceries, flowers & people watch!

Lovely square in the heart of Madison. The only negative was the several homeless people who appeared to be living on the benches in the square, with their multiple suitcases and shopping carts with all their belongings.

Love strolling around the capitol. Very picturesque with many photo-ops. Take the tour of the capitol (free) and see Madison from a higher perspective! Nice way to spend a couple of hours.

We wandered in and out of a few of the businesses around the square while we wandered around the Farmer's Market on Saturday. Very diverse amount of shops and the people are all incredibly friendly and helpful. Wish I'd had an unlimited budget!!

Don't miss the Saturday morning Farmer's Market that surrounds the capitol building. It is absolutely amazing! Fresh fruits and vegetables, cheese, flowers, meat, snacks. This market has EVERYTHING! I got there around 9am and it was starting to get crowded. I was able to find a free parking spot on a side street. Everyone walks around the market in a... More

I think this may be the best farmers market in the world! Come on a Saturday morning....get there early. It is fantastic. Everything from fresh veggies, to meats, cheeses, and flowers. I could do this every saturday morning.

After almost a dozen trips to Madison I finally actually went in the Capitol building last week. It was awesome, the architecture and layout is really something to see. Wednesdays nights during the summer there are free public concerts on the Capitol lawn. I checked out the inside before the concert started. Its a great atmosphere to be around the... More

I have been to most Capitols in the Country, and I think this is in the top three in terms of the grounds, facilities, aesthetics, and surrounding area. There are a lot of annoying hippies, and far more than any other place I have ever been. If you put that aside, this is a Capitol building worth seeing.

What a fantastic experience! Fresh veggies of all types, fresh flowers, fresh cheese, fresh pastries and breads, just....fresh! Handmade pasta, meats straight from the farm----and this is just what's on the Capitol side. Across the street you'll find various handcrafted items. Enjoy if you don't mind crowds and avoid if you do---it's a swift-moving current of old, young, large, and... More
