We attended the Shake the Lake event that had live music, food & beverage vendors, and an amazing fireworks display. Great time on a warm summer night.

Monona Terrace is within walking distance from the Capital and it has a great view of Lake Monona. Spacious, open and often have music during the summer on the roof. A great place for a walking tour.

Just returned from a 3 day convention here and it was gorgeous. Break times on the roof patio with views of the lake and the capitol building were relaxing. The dining area and food were excellent.

This a challenging review. There is some much history that's beyond the scope of this review. I'll start with some hints. Parking is very expensive in city center. Recommended is parking at the Terrace. It was actually a bit cheaper than street parking. If parking here drive to the highest parking level and park there. Enter at the convenient outside... More

Monona Terrace is a great space. It's huge and has so many great views. You can hang out on the roof or look down at the lake and bike path from a balcony. If you go for a convention, the food there is absolutely superb. A highlight of Madison!

Found this through a visitor guide at the hotel and went to check it out. It was a little confusing but made it to the terrace just fine. There is a stand where you can order food, drinks (alcoholic/nonalcoholic) and enjoy the view. If you aren't looking for that you can just go and walk around there terrace. There is... More

I've been here for business conferences and for weddings. This is a beautiful venue for either occasion.

Great views from the terrace and an imaginative lunch menu. Walk through the open air market on the way here as well!

The building is designed by F.L. Wright and is expansive. Don't think Robie House in Chicago. Great view of Lake Monona. Terrace restaurant with good local beers, basic menu, and just a nice place to spend time. We didn't go inside, as it was closed. But that doesn't matter. Good time, and food and drinks, had by all.
