Frank Lloyd Wright's masterpiece, many many many years in the making. I have visited many times and the staff are great. Parking is more expensive than other lots downtown, so if you are going to be there for awhile, park elsewhere. The architecture and view are wonderful.

We go at lease twice a year - great for a romantic walk ....close to everything! I love the main fountain - great for photos with the Capitol in the back! Closes about 10:30 pm. This location is also perfect for wedding pics! ENJOY! VIVA WIS!

We just went for the New years Eve party and the kids had a blast. The place is.very clean, with great views of the lake. We could see the christmas lights across the lake in Olin Turville park. Great time, nice staff.

Excellent convention center. Parking is tricky but once you figure it out its easy. Lots of display area. Go in the summer and spend time on the roof. Great for city views and that view over the lake. Highly recommended.

Attended Edgewood College graduation What a beautiful place I could stare at the lake for hours. The building lends itself to many functions. Madison should be proud.

I was here for a conference in June. The meals provided served all people attending the conference. The staff at the facilities were friendly. For June, I thought it was a little chilly inside with the air at times and the buildings bathrooms are on either side of the building (Sometimes I felt like I was out of a session... More

This Convention Center opened in 1997 after 60 years of debate. The building was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1938 as a cultural, government and recreational building. It was reworked several times between 1938 and 1959. Final plans were completed  seven weeks before his death. The plans were finally approved in 1992 as a community and convention center. Was here for an industry awards banquet. I was impressed with the ease of access and the way things were served efficiently.

The building itself is nice, with panoramic views of the lake. Fantastic roof top deck to take in the lake and Wisconsin Capitol building. Catering is terrible, food quality is poor. Service is mediocre and service areas are loud and distracting during presentations.
