On the way back from the Wisconsin Dells, we stopped in Madison to check out the campus. I was very impressed! Our first stop was at the dairy store where we had lunch and ice cream (delicious!). Then we took a walk down to the lake and strolled along the lake shore, making our way up the hill to check... More

We attend an array of musical events on campus - many of them free. This particular evening we attending the Handel competition which had a ten dollar fee. We parked on the hill above Lake Mendota and walked through Centennial Gardens and walked the foot and bike path along the lake down to the Union which is a Madison place... More

Went for S.O.A.R. and what a great experience! Highly organized and informative. Stayed in a new dorm for 2 nights, really nice.

This was my Alma Mater, and I hadn't seen it in years. Many old icons are just the same, yet many have changed dramatically. State street has totally reverted since I went here back to a street where it had been converted to a mall in the 80's.

Visited market days and walked the campus. Loved the whole area and State Street. Daughter thinking of attending school here now. :)

Beautiful campus in old part of town. Lots of shops to browse, good walking campus, lots of new and old buildings, with some good explanations of what you're viewing.

Took a break from driving to visit the Botany Garden, Student Center for a cup of coffee, and take a closer look at some of the magnificent buildings on campus. Makes me want to go back to college...just kidding, but the campus is beautiful! Lots of places for food and drinks scattered throughout the area. On street parking is a... More

The campus is nicely spread out, near many restaurants, shops, Capitol, All the lakes, Zoo, and hospitals. There are bike rentals and so many wonderful places to visit.

The University offers parks, a botanical garden, beautiful historic buildings, and sits besides the lake shore. Walking distance from shopping and restaurants.
