Thee is a lot to see and do at the university. It is next to the lake, dining is available, lakeside seating and walking paths, parks, and there are two botanical gardens open to the public.University bookstores, libraries, museums, and theaters are also open to the public. There s also a lot of great historic architecture.

This beautiful campus is worth taking a day to visit. So many historic buildings and lovely views, as well as more rustic paths along the lake. Fun restaurants and bars, too, just along the edge of campus.

The vast sprawling UW campus is right in downtown Madison. In fact where the campus ends (Memorial Library) is where State Street begins - Madison's big pedestrian street loaded with funky shops and restaurants. Start your visit on the outdoor terrace at Memorial Union (unless it's wintertime) situated right on the lake. Then head east to State Street or west... More

Beautiful ivy-covered buildings, multiple eating establishments and even a pub on campus. Wonderful views from the student union terrace. This college looks like something out of a movie!

Came for the first time to the university of Wisconsin campus. It is a nice area close to the lake. There are many students walking around.

Went to Memorial Union, grabbed infamous Babcock ice cream and soaked up some Vitamin D out on the terrace. Dinner @ Monty's Blue Plate Diner...a Madison favorite! Next time- will also visit Ella's Deli "established 1960"

Visited UW-Madison on a recruiting trip with my son. Its a big and clean campus. Lots of students on their bicycles. Very near Lake Mendota. I would attend this college in a heartbeat!

What a well laid out campus to walk. I was amazed at the architecture of the buildings. Navagating around campus was easy and students were so helpful. They have beautiful gardens to see. It was just a geogous warm day so stopped at Babcock Hall for some icecream which is made right on campus. Made me feel like going back... More
