Lots to see & do!

This place was lots of fun. We are already talking about coming back again. You can see so many of the animals much closer than the Milwaukee zoo!

We love this place for a quick stop with the kids! Wonderful exhibits, and because it's free, we can leave when they've had their fill. Really nice displays, and a wonderful place to take the kids when they're bored!

Visiting the zoo during a nice summer day brings back memories and they really do a good job keeping memories alive at this zoo.

Went to the zoo yesterday and have been there there a few times before. For some reason I'm guessing early season some of the animals weren't out. There's a new area that will be opening shortly which will make the zoo even better. I've never had a bad time while visiting as the area is very pretty. Hopefully more people... More

The nicest thing about the zoo was the surrounding neighborhood. Nice that it's free. For being so small I actually saw more animal activity with the baby orangutan and giraffe.

The zoo just opened it's Polar Passage, new housing for the polar bears, grizzly bears and habor seals. Very well done! Plus I love the red panda and the big cats (tigers and lions). A petting zoo for the little ones is nicely done. The free admission makes it family friendly and a nice time for a day out.

Went to the zoo on a cold, snowy November day. There was still plenty to see and no crowds to deal with We will definitely go back in the warmer weather.

The Vilas zoo is a treasure. It is not a large zoo but it is so convenient. And free! You can park steps away from the gate, spend a morning and then walk over to the park for a picnic. It is one of our go-to places for out of town friends with children. A loyal group of financial supporters... More
