The lake was great. Watching people in sailboats and others just taking in the views . It was a beautiful way to enjoy the evenings.

Really nice lakeside path by the UW campus for strolling or jogging. The views, especially on Picnic Point, are terrific. Free weekend parking at Picnic Point. The path hasn't changed much since we were there 50 years ago. We used to rent canoes near the student union (looks like you can rent kayaks now?), Brought back great memories when walked... More

we walked the lake shore path at the university of WI all the way to Picnic Point. The terrace is a great place to view the lake. I saw one bridge on the path where it indicated you can fish.

The lake is right next to the student housing and there is a running and biking path that goes for miles around the lake. I had a few extra hours on a recent business trip and took advantage of a beautiful fall day to run on the path. The UW students are pretty lucky!

Lakeshore path remains the same as it did 20 years ago. Thank you for taking such good care of it! Fun to bike down to picnic point. Check out some of the new dorms!

Spending an evening strolling along the waters edge, taking in a beautiful sunset, is a great way to cap off a day of sightseeing and shopping while visiting Madison, and all it has to offer. I highly recommend this too all who are considering a trip to Mad City....

While we were checking out the campus, we decided to walk off our ice cream from the Babcock Hall Dairy Store. It was a beautiful day on the great trail.

This is a beautiful lake in Madison perfect for watching sunsets, boating, and fishing. This lake is a bit more choppier than Monnona but is also quite a bit bigger too. Overall a must when in Madison.

I work close to the lake on the UW Campus and it's always great to be able to stop over. I've enjoyed boat tours of the lake and most recently had stopped at Governor Nelson State Park to view the lake. Another favorite is to hike out on Picnic Point and view the campus skyline and downtown Madison.

My wife and I walked around Lake Mendota while visiting Madison. There is a walking & jogging path that is close to the water. The lake is much larger than we expected and there were lots of boats in the water. We were told that fishing here is excellent. Spending time around Lake Mendota is a nice way to relax.
