This is a fantastic botanical garden with a great bird sanctuary. Say hello to Jack the Yellow male canary, you'll hear him when you enter

July is the ideal month to visit the Olbrich Botanical Gardens in Madison. It is not far from the center of the city. If you do not have car, you can visit by public transportation. This is a must place to add to the agenda while visiting Madison and the surrounding area. The main building houses the large butterflies (life)... More

I simply love Olbrich; perfect place for a date or just really looking to explore. I've also been there for a wedding which was impeccable.

There are 2 highlights for this property off season in November - the conservatory which is lush and wonderful and the Thai temple pavillion at the back of the property. We were also lucky to time our visit with a herb festival.

Top notch botanical gardens including a golden pavilion from Thailand, a gift from the Thai Alumni Association. The only Thai pavilion in the United States.

The outdoor gardens are always beautiful. During the cold winter months the indoor part is a tropical retreat. I'm always happy after visiting Olbrich and make it a point to bring all out of town visitors here.

Living in Madison it can be easy to take this place for granted...but I don't. It's peaceful, you can walk in beauty, sit under a canopy of green in the summer or photograph lily pads in the nearby pools, enjoy the Thai temple... Indoors, there are exhibits and concerts and plant sales and a great gift shop. The indoor gardens... More

Every once in awhile something free is actually of quite high value! Olbrich makes it fun to get lost on the many meandering trails through multiple themed garden areas. Thud is as needed excellent warm weather destination but also has a dome area with inside plants. Though not as impressive it us still WELL worth the few dollars it is... More

Love walking thru the Gardens! Great place for photographs (wedding, family, prom, etc.) Took some of my daughter's senior photos there. Always changing, always beautiful. You almost forget you're in the middle of the city.
