Only the dome has a minimal charge, and you don't have to see/pay for it if you don't want to. The bulk of the open gardens are free to the public and holds year round interest. Sundays in summer offer a free tram ride to the mobility challenged & it's need for the spacious gardens. Professional yet welcoming to all... More

Visit the Olbrich gardens any time of the year. In the middle of the winter the conservatory is warm, humid, and smells wonderful. Look carefully and you will find colorful tiny birds flying about the glass dome. Then in spring through fall walk the outdoor gardens and watch them change with the seasons. I can always find volunteers to answer... More

Great place to go any season. The indoor exhibits are wonderful and the gardens are extensive. When plants are blooming, wander and enjoy.

This is a great self guided tour of the gardens. There are lots of beautiful setups, the Thai Pavillion is amazingly beautiful! While it's open year round, I suggest checking their website to see what's in bloom--spring blooms and hardy plants in the fall are wonderful to see! It's free to the public!

You've got to take a couple hours to visit and see the beautiful grounds. Bring your camera. Also remember the spring plant sale, this year May 9-10, 2014. Great to visit in the different seasons, you won't be disappointed.

This is a very pleasant and aesthetically pleasing Botanical Garden. You don't have to be a "plant nerd" to like this garden. Make sure to walk the entire garden--not just the glassed in area.

This is a great place to take visitors in any season for a quiet stroll. The gardens often feature events and concerts. A short drive, bus ride or bike ride from the capitol.

We've been here summer and winter. In the summer the gardens are nice. They have oriental style buildings and fountains. In the winter the indoor gardens are a nice break from winter. It costs only $2 per person to walk through the indoor gardens. We walked through the indoor area in less than an hour. The outdoor gardens are free.... More
