This place is always kept up very well. The wide variety of plants and flowers and trees is amazing. It's usually a quiet and spiritual place to visit with friends and family.

Olbrich just keeps getting better and better. I visit every year for their leaf mulch sale, which is great stuff. It's a beautiful place every time of year.

This is a beautiful garden, with various sections to visit: rose garden, scent garden, herb garden. There is even a Thai Temple donated by a Thai group associated with UW. It was constructed in Thailand and the parts arrived by plane on 9/11/01, at O'Hare, the last plane in before all flights were grounded. This is a very special space,... More

This was a great place to visit. Kids loved it and you must go see the Temple. We were just a little bit early for fall leaf color changes, but I would venture it is a spectacular time of year to visit.

This was the third visit to Olbrich Botanical Gardens. Each time we visit Madison we make a point of spending some time here. It's free to enter the gardens. They are well-planned and there are areas devoted to different kinds of plants - rose gardens, bog plants, cottage garden, rare shrubs and trees etc. There is something of everything in... More

Beautiful grounds, well maintained. Thai pavilion is stunning. Free is a great price too. Worth coming back for many times.

Coming to Madison meant I had to find a garden to visit! This was a nice short visit with pleasant walkable grounds easily done within a couple of hours as we had to get back to CHi-town. Having been used to the gorgeous Botanic Gardens in northern burbs of Chicago, I was wondering how much we would get to see,... More

We spent several hours walking around and taking in the large variety of beautiful gardens. There is so much to see, and it was a hit with the whole family (including 11 and 12 year old daughters). The highlight was definitely the beautiful Thai pavilion, which according to the volunteers at the main desk, is the only authentic Thai pavilion... More

The Conservatory has a lot of unique plants to check out. It does cost $2 for general public admission and is free for children 5 and under. The Outdoor Gardens are free and they do offer guided tours. The gardens are quite lovely and are labeled ; however, it wasn't clear to me how all the gardens were laid out.... More

There are nice wandering paths through the outdoor garden. Everything is well maintained and there is a lot of variety. The indoors is a nice tropical habitat. We went on Saturday morning and it's free to see the indoor garden on Saturday mornings. It's a great place to spend a couple of hours on a nice day.
