An absolute must if you're in Madison. It's pretty much a flat walk. You can borrow a wheelchair, for those with compromised mobility. Donations are suggested. Really nice gift shop. Well kept gardens. Special rotating exhibitions in the green house.

One of the best places in Madison to visit any time of year. We visit here often. The outside gardens are wonderful in the summer, beautiful roses and blooming flowers. Winter is a fantastic time to visit the conservatory, especially when it is snowing - all nice and tropical warm inside while you watch through the glass as the snow... More

This place was really impressive. The Thai Pavilion is an obvious must see. The entire thing was built by master artisans without the use of any screws or nails, only traditional joinery methods. I know not a thing about botanics, but I found the sights and scents very peaceful and calming even though it was a busy day with many... More

The gardens are always impeccably maintained. Our favorite part is the golden pagoda, but the rock gardens are so much fun to walk around, too. It's a great place for kids to explore, as it's outside, so there's no need to whisper!

Outdoor gardens are free and well worth a visit. It will probably take a good hour to walk through if you are observing things, even though it is a small area. There is a lot of variety to see. They change out parts of the garden monthly or quarterly, so it is also worth a repeat visit to see what... More

Beautiful, beautiful place! No charge to walk through the gardens, only 25 cents for a map to navigate. And only $2 admission into the Conservatory. The Thai Pavilion was a gift from Thailand and the only one in the United States. Countless varieties of flowers and trees and plants, water features, herbs, bees, butterflies. Lovely place to spend some time.

wow! I was very impressed with all that i saw. The Thai temple was gorgeous! This would be a great place to take pictures and weddings. When we went it was very hot out and we had children with so we did not get to see everything. Would definitely like to check it out again the next time im in... More

We accidentally visited on a day with a special event, so it wasn't as peaceful as we expected it to be, but all the noise didn't take away from the stunning natural views of this amazing Botanical Garden. As a fan of the many, varied cultures of Asia, the Thai pavilion and the surrounding garden was my favorite. There are... More

Always an amazing experience. How can nature not be GREAT?! Seasonal events always planned and entrance cost is reasonable.
