Great lake and state park! Grew up on this lake, the only bad thing is you must have reservations to camp and some people can't plan so they need to have first come, first serve again with camping. Very beautiful and a great place for a family outing. Beach is nice, has bathrooms, and outside showers. Always loved this lake!!

Stayed in a tent in the campground for some winter hiking. The park staff was super friendly and helpful. There are a lot of geocaches here, if you like that sort of thing. The hiking trail to the waterfall was great. One of the trails, up on the mountain, was closed due to hunting season so check on this before... More

The cabins, camping, hiking, swimming and fishing are wonderful. I highly recommend a visit even if it's for the day. Take a picnic lunch and your swimsuit

This is a really nice park. The water is really clear, but we couldn't/didn't stay there to camp with all the rain that's been in the area over the last month. We hope to visit again and camp. There was lots of fishing going on the day we visited.

We hiked the trail to the waterfall, but instead of starting at the beginning of the trail, we went left and walked it backwards, which got us to the waterfall quicker. Well worth it. I enjoyed it a lot more than the trails in hot springs national park. The park facilities were really nice too.

The park was beautiful. Three hiking trails. I started off on the difficult one and somehow ended up on the easy one. Human error on my part. I counted one bench to sit on. I could be wrong. Stay hydrated, bring a couple bottles of water, especially during summer months. The water? Very cold! I believe one of the coldest... More

We spent 2 nights there. We were thrilled to get a sight right next to the lake with water and electric. For just $22 a night! The site itself was very large and could easily accommodate more than 1 tent. It had a picnic table, fire ring with a grill top that you can cook right over your fire. As... More

LOCATION: My parents were staying at the cabin and we were there to visit. Their cabin had a shared dock with one other cabin. There were boat rentals from motor craft to canoes, so many options. The view from the cabin porch was beautiful. CABINS: The are very basic but do have a small kitchen so we were able to... More

Lake Catherine was beautiful! We walked the Falls Creek Falls trail and it was great. The falls were running and the kids were able to play in the water. Very peaceful and just short, easy hike on one of the trails.
