Just did a day trip to Lake Catherine. We hiked out to the waterfalls on a well marked trail and enjoyed the lovely views. More

the best part of this lake is the falls and the trails. my sons and i go to the falls quite often but they are usually crowded. the park has made a lot of changes recently, really looks nice. sometimes the falls don't run very much in the summer when it gets really hot. More

Stayed with family and friends at the camp area recently and had a wonderful time. We stayed in Camping Area B (#27). It was right on the water and we had plenty of room to accommodate two vehicles and two tents. We were right across from the small island, which is the habitat for a gaggle of Canadian geese year... We stayed in the "rustic" cabins. The cabin was built in the 30's (I think) with ruff hewn logs. It had one bedroom, a full kitchen, and a living room. Everything inside was all wood with a stone fireplace, wood was supplied. The cabin had everything you need to cook. It was clean and comfortable and included satellite TV and... More

Lovely hikes ranging from short to moderate lengths and difficulties. Highly recommend you go to the Falls Creek Trail. It is 2 miles with some elevation change. You will walk along the lake, creeks, and lush forest. In the spring, you can see a wide variety of flowers. This time of year will increase your chances for mild weather, but... More

My kids and I decided to do a hike here to see the waterfall. When you get to the actual waterfall you'll know. We saw some smaller ones along the way and thought initially they were maybe it. Nope! It sure was pretty when we got to it. The trail was marked very well. We thought it was just beautiful... More

We went to Lake Catherine for our honeymoon...20 years later, we are still visiting this great park. The rustic cabins are very comfortable and cozy, especially in the winter when you can sit back and enjoy the fireplace. Fishing is ok, but kayaking is great! Trails are numerous and lead to beautful places, especially, the waterfall! The campground is updated,... More
