went on the hiking trails in search of the "must see" waterfall...i was disappointed as it wasn't what I envisioned as a "waterfall" we went on the "eagle" sighting tour (free). That was interesting. Its winter so it was very cold that day on the water. We did see one eagle! It was totally worth the freezing weather! Overall it... More

Very nice opportunity to hike, see a waterfall up close and generally enjoy the outdoors. Weather in November is perfect - not too hot or too cold. Really enjoyed it.

This is a very nice state park. It has quite a few cabins and trails. If you are looking to book a cabin make sure that you get one that doesn't face the power plant - not a good view - in my opinion.

Lake Catherine was close to where were we staying, so we thoughts we'd check it out. The Falls Branch trail was a good choice for our hike. It's a fairly easily hike of two miles or so total. Enjoyed the waterfall at the end. A highlight of our trip.

The waterfall trail is only 2 miles and took about 20-30 minutes to hike. My husband and I enjoyed relaxing in nature and breathing in the fresh air! Go on a sunny day and enjoy the waterfall there!

We camped here in December, during the week, and it was very quiet and beautiful. We were lucky to be here to participate in the Christmas Bird Count and saw 18 species from our campsite during the morning of the count! The campground is convenient to Hot Springs and Garvan Gardens.

We had three very pleasant days at Lake Catherine State Park. We hiked the Falls Branch Trail which was very nice. The Falls is really pretty. We had a pet friendly cabin which was really nice since all the State Parks in Mississippi do not allow pets. They even furnished food and water dishes, a pet bed and a treat.... More

We had a gorgeous day at this park. We did some geocaching and walked along the Falls Branch Trail. We'd just had 2 solid days of rain so the waterfalls were thundering. It was beautiful.

The state park is very pretty. The hike to the falls is well worth it. Plenty of shade for picnics and camping.

This has trails of different difficulty and has beautiful scenery. It is a well kept park perfect for a morning hike with a beautiful waterfall on the Falls Branch Trail
