Went to see the Falls and there was only a trickle. Very disappointing. Come earlier in the year to see them. Nice hiking trails. Excellent place to launch a boat. Decent beach. Fun place to have a picnic. Bathrooms in the camping and swimming area were very clean. We stopped by during the week after school had started so there... More

Wow. We loved this place. The hiking was great. Scenery was amazing. The only downfall was we didn't have more time to spend there. Can't wait to plan our next trip there. So much to do, see and enjoy. Will certainly be back here. If you are looking for a great getaway, with or without kids, on a budget, this... More

We spent 2 days exploring this park. Wish we had rented one of the cabins in the park, but when we planned the trip the cabins were already full. I believe they fill up far in advance. We rented a canoe at the park. I believe the half day price was approx $20-25. Very reasonable! Be sure and ask for... More

Make sure to bring swim shoes and swimsuit for waterfall. Go to the left if you want to see waterfall and not hike.

This was the last camping stop on our trip and it was our favorite. Gorgeous, clean, fun. Rented a brand new pontoon for less than $200 for 6 hours. Wonderful lake. Wonderful time. The only negative was that our water outlet pole was on the opposite side as the electrical pole, so you need a long hose.

We put our boat in the water near Remmel Dam at one end of lake and boated all the way to Carpenter Dam at the other end. There were lots of folks out in boats, on jet skis, swimming, and fishing. We did check out the camping area as we went by and it looked really nice...LOTS of campers this... More

For a first time camper, this place was great! The hiking was awesome. Even if you only come for a day trip, you must go on the hike to the waterfall. The route is very scenic and getting in the swimming hole at the falls is so fun and refreshing. Very beautiful. My only complaints is that it got muggy... More

We tent camped here and the park is gorgeous you MUST walk to the falls. The only real complaint is that the tent sites are mixed in with the rv sites and are a little crowded feeling and not the wilderness feel you tent camp to feel. If they would add an area just for tents away from teh RVs... More

Due to rv site size limitations, we normally do not stay in State parks. We were assured on the phone that their sites were very large and we would have no problem backing into our site. The area has had a lot of rain that week and just had a gully washer the morning of our arrival. Due to the... More
