The state park is a nice drive, but it isn't very big. There are a few trails, but overall not that much to see.

Lake Ouachita is a treasure with crystal clear water that attracts divers, skiers, and pleasure boaters. Surrounded by mountains the island studded lake, is a destination point. Bring your boat, rent a boat or house boat and experience clear water and beautiful scenery. Mountain Harbor Resort has lodging and a marina and there are other resorts around the lake off... More

My husband's family has been vacationing on Lake Ouachita since before he can remember and he's been bringing me here for the last 8 years. His family owns a condo on Mount Harbor and we bring our couple friends every year. The Lake is secluded compared to the nearby Lake Hamilton and not so much as a "party" lake as... More

Our expectations wasn't very high. I mean its just a lake right? WRONG! 2nd cleanest lake in the US. The water and shores are SUPER clear. You can rent a boat for very very cheap here. They ran out of most other types of boats when we went, it was also a holiday weekend. We rented a flat bottom. They... More

If you are lucky enough to live close by its a great place to spend the day doing water sports or just relaxing on... More

This is a beautiful state park. They do not charge daily entrance fees. The lodging and camping looked amazing. Very clean restroom. Has a large marina with rentals. Crystal clear water. Can not wait to go back and camp.

Ouachita is a big lake and provides activities for everyone. There is lodging in several places along the lake. State park provides lodging and a marina. Their is great fishing. Plenty of open water for skiing and camping areas in several locations. Also, several restaurants located in some of the lodges and a short drive to many restaurants regardless of... More
