Beautiful, Big lake

This is a huge lake. It's kept clean by the Corp of Engineers I believe. Worth a visit if you are in the area. Best enjoyed by boat

This lake ranks as one of the cleanest lakes in the nation year in and year out. There are so many things to do from fishing to house-boating. 690 miles of shoreline and 44,000 acres and there are few houses that can be seen from the lake. Those few that you may see were there when the lake was made.

We had a great day on the lake kayaking! Plenty of coves for swimming and relaxing, a nice cliff that you can plunge into the cool water on a hot day! Beautiful wild flowers and plants. The lake is so big we only saw about 5 boats all day, we felt as if we had the lake to ourselves. We... More

Wow, what a beautiful lake. We were there on a Saturday in August and it is such a big lake we had plenty of room for everyone. There were nice quiet coves for first-time skiers. The water was beautifully warm!

We rented a large barge boat with a tube. The private boat rentals were more expensive than I would have liked, but we had a blast! There was plenty of room to bring a cooler with food and our snorkel equipment. We got out onto the cool water with beautiful views. Tubing was so much fun for all ages! We... More

Ouachita is one of the prettiest lake I have been on, the water is clear and if you dive there are some very interesting spots too see. Checker board square is a must.

Absolutely beautiful! I have camped at lake Ouachita several times and it is great. The last time my so and daughter went with me and we enjoyed kayaking all over the lake. It was really nice.

The state park is very nice. The water is clear and beautiful. The rangers and staff at the visitor center and marina were all very nice despite a few issues we had. We had one of the walk in tent sites which was right on the water which was great however people from all over the campground will walk right... More

We spent a hot Arkansas Friday here. We rented kayaks and probably traversed about 3 total miles. In between....we swam and enjoyed the scenery. The cashier at the Marina was very friendly and all in all....great day at the park.
