I loved being around the lake or in the mountains around the lake. It is quiet and peaceful and very large. You can literally go from Mt. Ida to (almost) Hot Springs by boat. The terrain is wonderful and heavily forested. You can see bear and bald eagles, depending on the time of year, and fishing is said to be... More

We explored Lake Ouachita while in Hot Springs, Arkansas for the 4th of July holiday. It is one of the cleanest lakes in America. The water is clean and cool. There is an abundance of wildlife, mostly squirrels and deer. I haven't seen anything else. I love the mountain roads and fog over the tops of the trees. It is... More

rented a boat and tube from the state dock and it was an awesome day. The water is great, there are plenty of places to tube and swim and over all it is very affordable.

The guided Kayak tour was great. Our guide was super knowledgeable and it was only $15 a person. You can see the islands on the lake and we spent an hour and a half paddling around. The guide was also good at figuring out our skill level and the speed we wanted to go. It was a great time

We rented a pontoon boat while on family vacation from the dock operated by arkansas state park. It had a diving platfrom on the top. Everyone had a great time swimming in the lake and jumping off the platform. Water is the perfect temperature and ridiculously clear. A great experience.

One of the cleanest lakes in the nation. Over 1000 miles of shoreline. Lots of private coves (by boat) to camp or swim. Great fishing, great on waver unnerve. Islands marked on a map you can get free at most marinas, so you don't get lost.

Great motorcycle ride with beautiful views. Roads were great and lots of nooks and crannies. No cons for us.

Lake Ouachita has no structures on the water's edge. A lovely boat ride on the crystal-clear water is worth the trip. waters are peaceful and not crowded with boats.
