Perfect!

Checked in at visitors center and got information about lake. The Ranger was great, very perfessional and courteous. The water was clear, warm, and perfect! It was an amazing day!

We drove to Lake Ouachita while we were in Hot Springs last weekend. Since we don't fish, or boat we didn't know what to expect. Usually there is some sightseeing at lakes, but at this lake there were no picnic benches or anything that "sightseers" could do. It was a lovely lake and if you boat or fish, I'm sure... More

Rented jet skis & paddle boards from Mountain Harbor. Seemed like we had the whole lake to ourselves and it was so clean! If you actually see any people, they are very friendly. We will be back, oh yes, we will.

We rented kayaks and spent 1.5 hours paddling around the lake. It is off the beaten path- we spent at least as long getting to it and getting back to Hot Springs afterward, as we did on the lake kayaking... but it was peaceful, not crowded, and a nice activity to do with the family. Life jackets are included, just... More

Had a great time kayaking on the lake. You can rent kayaks, canoes, peddle boats, and other boats at the marina. Cost was reasonable. Take food -- there's not anything there in the state park. Water is clean and park is very nice.

Lake Ouachita is a very large lake with many areas to explore and quiet coves for getting away from the action. Even on busy holidays, the lake is so expansive it doesn't seem to feel as crowded as other area lakes. If you are fishing there is plenty of room to get away from the boaters and all the activity... My first time here today. Went on guided striper fishing trip. Absolutely loved the lake and all the scenery.

Lake Ouachita is the first sister in the three lakes around Hot Springs. It is a large, beautiful lake with plenty of room for fishermen, boaters, skiers and swimmers. The shoreline is not as developed as other local lakes.
