We had looked forward to this trip. It was certainly worthwhile. The entire theater is built on the side of a mountainl surrounded by trees which provide for perfect accoustics, the actors have no need to be miked which was pleasantly different from what we had experience in similar settings. We started with the "behind the scenes tour" . Four... More

You might be a little suspect of any production that puts an exclamation point in it's title...but i think this production company was being a little humble by the fact that they did not use 2 or three!!! i actually visited this theater site during construction in the summer of '73 and was able to attend one of their first... Been wanting to see this production for years. Finally made it and glad we did. We started with the buffet. It doesn't look like much but the chicken, ham and mashed potatoes were excellent. Only complaint was the salad lettuce was a little dry and wilted. Then on to the show.. Wow,what great set, actors and story line. There is... More

This outdoor drama has been in production since the 1970s. I've seen it several times but not in recent years. I read Allen Ekart's book, the Frontiersman, upon which was based and it remains pretty true to the tales of Tecumseh. Because of the noise and action I'd advise against taking children too young to understand it's a play.

On our yearly family vacation to hocking hills this year, I was lucky enough to be able to be taken to see the production of Tecumseh in Chillicothe, Ohio. Being a history major at Bowling Green State University this was right up my alley. The production was absolutely amazing and kept me wanting to see more. My family got a... More

First time visitor, and was extremely impressed with this outdoor drama. Staff was very friendly. Started off with the buffet. The food was very good, and everything tasted homemade. I feel the buffet was definitely worth the money. The arena and set is very professional! The actors are superb. The play is historically accurate, and is a great learning experience... More

The play is historically accurate. The actors and actress did an outstanding job. They even greet everyone after the outdoor drama and sign autographs. We really enjoyed the evening with our grandsons.

I have seen "The Lost Colony" & "Unto These Hills" in NC and "Blue Jacket" up near Dayton. The production of Tecumseh is wonderful and well worth the drive from Cincinnati. The production is very professional in appearance and the arena is one of the nicer ones I have seen. A nice day trip for family.

First time visitor and was truly impressed. Highly recommend it for all. (perhaps 6-8 or older). Excellent history lesson with action taking place all around the "stage" area. Not a bad seat in the house. We did the backstage tour and enjoyed our guides knowledge of the performance. We also enjoyed their buffet prior to the performance and if you... More

Came here in the 90's. Came back with family on a Saturday night. Very nice production and learning experience for my kids( 14 and 10). The night was very comfortable. Not to hot or cold. Did not notice any bugs. I thought the performers did a fantastic job. Nice to go back and remember the history of Tecumseh. Did not... More
