Visited this small tea factory on the way to Nuwara Eliya - really lovely tour of the factory and great service and hospitality when trying a variety of teas.

This is a must see place on any itinerary to Sri Lanka. We had a great time here, sadly not enough. Enjoyed tea at the Grand, walking the park at a visit to the Somerset tea estate. Next time a round of golf and much more walking in the hills. Small market but great buys of winter coats to be... More

This place is full of greenery and has curves on the road all over as it is on the hill. Although we didn't stay here but we spent some time while we were on our way to Ella. It is beautiful and a calm place. Full of tea plantations. Must see

This is like going back to the 1900's (if I knew what that was like!!). A real sense of where that great British drink has come from in terms of history etc. You can taste all manner of dufferent teas from quite ordinary to most exotic. Well worth doing

My spouse and I spent two marvelous days amid the tea plantations that cling to the sides of these cool green hills. One night was spent in the magnificent Jetwing Warwick Gardens hotel, an ivy-covered stone bungalow with the ambience of a Scottish manor house. We also visited a tea factory (there are many), and the Hakgala Gardens. After the... More

Hustle of towns, peacefulness of countryside, villages, bendy roads, scenic train rides, then of course the tea plantations. Do go see a tea factory, if you aren't impressed by the first, try another.

As Sri-Lanka was a former English, Dutch and Portuguese colony it's so different and beautiful. For example Nuwara Eliya, it's a small part, approximately 2 km up on the hill, which is absolutely different from all other places on the island! This lake, tree, houses we made us feel like we moved to some small English village. We enjoyed it... More
