Very Informative, worth doing even with kids. No expectation or pressure to buy anything. Interesting to see both the old and new technology and traditional tea pickers.

The tea plantations are wonderful to visit. The climate is much cooler than on the coast and you can always see people going about their daily lives picking tea.

So I was sick (literally) and overworked with my city life in UAE. And I took this break to this place. The moment I started the journey I could feel that my eyes were cooling off my body was relaxing and I was able to calm myself down. I am a kind of person who carries office in my head..... More

Before you arrive you will read lots of reviews about the town of Nuwara Eliya, and how cute it is, and is given the nickname 'Little England.' The best area to visit for a salubrious holiday. But the excessive use of chemicals by the vegetable cultivators is a problem. The tea gardens are spreaded like a carpet. The cup of tea from Nuwareliya grown tea is an unique experience due to the golden color and the flavor

We loved the drive into the hills past all the tea plantations. The scenery is stunning. We enjoyed the visit to mack woods to see how the tea is processed.

The experience was unbelievable specially when you go deep nto the tea growing region. Green is beaitiful but so many different versions of green (fresh and matured tree) is stunningly beaautiful. It was also lovely to see how tes is prepared, sorted and finally packed. Never knew that there are so many varieties of tea.
