We traveled by bus but next time we would like to hire a car so that we can stop at the many many many cute tea factories/ stops/ plantations on the way. Every few seconds there was a sight that was to die for and we were on the bus so we could just look at it longingly...

You can drink black tea and milk tea. They are both good taste. And also can buy some for gifts. It is not expensive.

We visited here as part of a 2 week trip in Sri Lanka. This part is so different to other areas, cooler, mountainous and stunning! Honestly is the best tea i have ever tasted too!

Just the winding route along the tea plantations is worth seeing. Then, when even the pickers are seen in their colorful saris, the picture is even more beautiful. Picturesque and very different from other parts of Sri Lanka - we felt like we were in a tea-growing version of the Lake District! But the altitude means much cooler temperatures and more rain showers, so come prepared (socks and a warm jacket as a minimum).

This is a must see place in Sri Lanka, the scenery is stunning. We were going to take the train from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya but ended up going with our driver. This enabled us to stop numerous times to enjoy the views and waterfalls and tour a tea factory. Well worth the drive.

Great getaway from the noise and pollution of Colombo. Freshest vegetables you'll ever have. Cold weather, so dress accordingly.
