First I was a lot excited ..liked the toilet in the start where we buy tickets ..kind of different toilet only 3 walls and 1 side there's just jungle no wall nothing.. then we started our world's end journey. weather was kind of chilled in the start but as we started trekking all good.. One should bring water bottle and... More

We were very excited to visit Horton Plains and World's End during our tour of Nuwara Eliya and Sri Lanka. However, the price of this national park is ridiculous. First, you have to pay for a taxi from Nuwara Eliya (3,500LKR). Then, you have to pay entrance for said taxi, for the driver, and for yourself. Oh yeah, and all... More

Our family liked this hiking the most during the whole stay in Srilanka. Although it was quite tired for us to walk in the mountain for almost 6 hours, the view is really fantastic! In the morning, we saw the sun rise with moist view - very impressive and unique. It was a round trip, so you will see different... More

At the start of the trek, we had very clear blue sky and few people. We saw two types of deer right at the side of our vehicle, Sri Lanka national Fowl, baby Purple faced monkey up the tree, family of purple faced money at the bottom of mini World's End, and myriads of birds. As we just cllimbed the... More

Great nature hike of 9km, not too difficult, but take good shoes and water. Start early morning around 6-7:00 am for the sunrise and clear view. Almost 20$ is quite expensive for a nature hike, but...

Photos don't do justice to this natural sight at Horton Plains. The trek to the Little and Great World's End will all be paid off once you've got to see the clouds, the cliffs and plains. Nature at its best!

The Wandering Yank here again. What a view! We left Nuwara Eliya about 6 am to ensure we got to World's End before it misted over, which I read can often happen mid-morning. Got to the trailhead about 7 am, and maybe hit World's End by 8:30. Allow yourself about 2-3 hours for the round-trip (rather, it's a loop if... More

Start your hike early ie 7.00am to miss the crowds and to enjoy the sunrise en route to the location. Take plenty of water and wear sturdy shoes and sensible clothing (not flip flops as some people wore...). The views are spectacular and the hike quite challenging in a couple of places (definitely wouldn't fancy it in the midday sun).... More
