Worth the Walk

Was good to get the legs moving and get rid of some pounds put on in Sri Lanka. The walk is easy, just take care as the path surface is uneven.

Entrance is 3000rp. A private car to get to the park costs about 4000rp. The walk takes 2.5 - 3.5hrs. For best viewing conditions, you need to leave the hotel at 5 ish for a 7am start. The walk is fairly flat most of the way, but shoes with good grip would be helpful in some areas. Waterproof jackets are... More

We did this hike after getting picked up at our guest house at 5am. Cloud hung v low & remained for most of the morning but I wasn't deterred. But tbh, although the view from Worlds End is good, there is constant cloud cover, so it will always be clouded vision & the beaver falls is unimpressive. Certain not worth... More

This is a 9 KM hike including World's End and Baker's Falls. Leave from Nuwara Eliya around 5-5.15 am to make sure you get that lovely shot of the sun when it's a red fire ball rising over the hills.

Quite an expensive national park 10600 for group of four. Worlds end view is good but I have to be honest the view from Ella rock is better. Worth it if you have a spare day but not worth the detour.

The 9km round walk at the Horton Plains National Park takes you to World's End, the Little World's End and Baker Falls. Make sure you head from Nuwara Eliya as early as 5.30Am to start trek when the Park opens. The clouds obscure the view after 10 or 11 am. You need a slice of luck too as the scenary... More

Nuwara Eliya perhaps is one of the most famous places in Sri Lanka. Situated within the heart of hill country and beautiful landscapes provides a great experience for any one planning for a holiday in the hill country of Sri Lanka. There are several things to do in Nuwara Eliya such as playing Golf, Horse riding etc. Don’t forget to... More
