I always visit this place when I go to nuwara eliya. Love cycling along the cycle track. There are pony rides for kids as well.
Paid about 4 dollars for 2 adults and a car to enter. We have a one week tour guide so expected he would assist with price of boat ride, but it seems they all need to rip us off. Our tour guide rushed out and spoke to someone, when we reached we were told 5000 rupias for a boat ride.... More
A nice place to visit in Nuwara Eliya. Beautiful place. Well maintained. Its a public place but privacy is there.
We paid 200 LKR (being foriegners) just to walk around the pathway, which I could have done for free on the fringe of the lake

Lake Gregory was supposed to be a major tourist attraction in "Little England" It was disappointing as the lake is not well maintained. The walkway around the lake (whatever little of it exists) is patchy and poor.
This location has boat riding, bicycling, walking, and picnic activities. It's good to go there when the weather is good for outdoor activities. Wear some warm cloths as it's windy and cold. Also there is an excellent Strawberry cafe in front where they offer so many variations of berry meals.
Nice calm place and loved the Pony ride along the lakeside. A lot of locals are around so the place is a bit crowded with locals. They offer a swan boat tour but I wasn't able to enjoy it.
