I with my family visited Nuwaraeliya(City of Light) for a holiday and stayed in Central Bank Circuit Bungalow as I am a Central Banker, situated by the Grand Hotel. The city also known as the little England because of the weather. It's altitude is 1868mts and the highest mountain at the middle of Sri Lanka, Pidurutalagala (2524mts) is situated close... More

It's one of the most scenic lakes we've been to. They have entry fees for the visitors but in case you don't want to enter the promenade kind strip just hop over to the nearby local boat ride operators who are equally good.

This is a nice lake to walk around with the nice scenery or have a casual boat ride. You can even have a horse ride.

This is like any other lake, you have lot place to walk around you can do boating in the lake. There an entry fees which I felt was not justified. Not a must visit if you have extra time and do not know how to spend then this is not a bad choice.

The entire area surrounding the lake is very beautiful. The lake is not very big but the mountains behind the lake and the green park around the lake add to the beauty. There are bicycle available on rent. There is an entry ticket also. The price is not very nominal. The scenery lets you forget that you are in a... More

Pay the entrance fee into the newly built renovated area, it goes round the corner so is longer than it initially appears, the price is maybe a little too high, but it is supporting a good cause for the rejuvenation of the area. Went for a walk, then had a drink, and then sat and read my book on the... More

It is simply unbelievable to reckon this lake as a man made lake. At the heart of the city; where you can spend your time taking a long walk, jet ski (water scooters) or hop onto the boat for a ride of the entire lake. The park has a parking as well as an entrance fee which is very minimal.... More
