The mosque is located in the city center, walking distance from Benteng Kuto Besak, Ampera Bridge, Monpera and Pasar 16 Ilir. Built with a great mixture of architecture designs from many cultures.

I went there when there is an heavy rain in Palembang, so I did Maghrib and Isya prayer there. Between it, there was a sermon by the priest of the Great Mosque (Mesjid Agung).

Was visiting the mosque on friday prayer. The mosque was grand and beautiful, but the parking area was a nightmare. We need exactly 1 hour to get out of the parking area after the prayer. I would suggest to park in nearby area and take a walk to the mosque.
