Description: Reef Seen Divers Resort was the first established dive operator in...
Reef Seen Divers Resort was the first established dive operator in Pemuteran, and has always been very active in marine conservation since it's start in 1991. Offering guided dives and PADI courses from absolute beginner upwards in a friendly and professional atmosphere from the beach-front centre. There is excellent diving and snorkelling all year round on the reefs in Pemuteran Bay, at nearby Menjangan Island plus the famous muck dive sites at Secret Bay for critters. With PADI Green Star Award status, Reef Seen works with the Reef Gardeners and is home of the Turtle Hatchery protecting and releasing wild sea-turtles. Also offers attractive beach-side divers' accommodation. All our rates for both diving and accommodation can be found on our website.

Yes you can have fantastic dives with the crew of Reef Seen. I went with them to the Menjangan Island, part of a national park, which was really good. The diving staff is run by an English couple, both very friendly, really nice and helpful people. But this dive center does allot more. They have a program that cares for... More

Dear Klaas82 Thank you for writing about us here. As you have seen, although Reef Seen's primary operation is to guide divers and snorkellers in our precious marine world, we are only part of a bigger local community dependent on happy, satisfied customers. Success is not just about "us", if we don't ALL take good care of what we have... More

I was so wonderfully surprised and delighted by my entire experience with Reef Seen. How wonderful to see a dive operator thinking and acting long term. The reef restoration projects show a serious commitment to foster and protect the continuous health of the reefs. The turtle hatchery is another example to their long-term commitment to the marine environment. I had... More

Dear Pukka TL Chris Brown established Reef Seen in 1991 when there were no other dive operators in the area. Through the work he, Reef Seen and the Reef Gardeners started and continue over the ensuing 23 years this area has slowly developed into the very special place is is now, The aim is to keep it small scale and... We stayer here in September because we interested in the turtle project. The welcome was a bit awkward because they didn't really want us there because we weren't divers. Well, no but does that mean we don't get to stay? They ended up having a room anyways and we decided to stay. The place is lovely, right on the beach... More

We accidentally wandered into Reef Seen while we were on vacation in north Bali. After a miscommunication with our driver, we ended up at Reef Seen, and decided to look around. My family had no reservations and wandered up the road from nowhere and the staff was incredibly friendly. We sat on the beach eating our lunch and watched as... More

My friend and I chose Reef Seen as we wanted to support their reef sustaining and turtle conservation efforts. We were pleasantly surprised by a beautiful, nicely run place with such friendly staff. We took the boat trip to the island to snorkel and were blown away by the coral there. Then we discovered the house reef which had more... More

I truly recommend this dive shop. My wife first visited this shop when it was just a Dive shack and not much else. She spoke of her time there with Chris with get affection. So a few years ago we both decide to visit. The accommodations are everything you would hope they would be. Clean, comfortable and nice hot showers.... More

Hi J and W, Yes time has moved on. The shack that I started in has grown and developed into as a successful and sustainable business continuing the devotion to protection, preservation and improvement. If we had not evolved with the times, then we would have been left behind and unable to continue working and doing our many projects here... More

I recommend this place. We seeked it out because we heard that Reef Seen has a good track record in environmental friendliness, something I care about these days with more and more reefs endangered. I think the reputation is justified; the shop has pioneered a reef restoration effort (which you can see) and our dive instructor picked up trash floating... More

Hi. This company advertise a snorkelling trip to an offshore reef, for $20 a head. The 10 minute boat trip took us to a reef of dead coral, and then to a second reef of dead coral. It is not OK to take tourists on a trip to dead coral. There is so much fantastic living coral in the Pemuteran... More

We did a half-day (~4hrs) private boat trip to Pulau Menjangan. Besides the reliable & good organization and boat crew, the snorkeling was the best we've done in Asia! The visibility and colour richness were simply impressive. For four adults we paid IDR 2,148,750, which was worth every penny!

We did some research on the hatchery before we travelled as a group from Australia. We contacted the hatchery ahead of time to make sure that there were turtles for release that we could sponsor. We were assured that there were several hundred, and looked forward to this activity for our group. When we arrived at the hatchery we were... More

The Reef Seen Turtle Hatchery, or “PROYEK PENYU” is a non-profit, self-supporting project to help save and protect the local sea turtles and their eggs whilst providing an important source of income to the local villagers. The basic method of the project is to buy newly laid eggs found by the local villagers at a higher than market price. We... More
