I truly recommend this dive shop. My wife first visited this shop when it was just a Dive shack and not much else. She spoke of her time there with Chris with get affection. So a few years ago we both decide to visit. The accommodations are everything you would hope they would be. Clean, comfortable and nice hot showers.... More

I recommend this place. We seeked it out because we heard that Reef Seen has a good track record in environmental friendliness, something I care about these days with more and more reefs endangered. I think the reputation is justified; the shop has pioneered a reef restoration effort (which you can see) and our dive instructor picked up trash floating... More

Hi. This company advertise a snorkelling trip to an offshore reef, for $20 a head. The 10 minute boat trip took us to a reef of dead coral, and then to a second reef of dead coral. It is not OK to take tourists on a trip to dead coral. There is so much fantastic living coral in the Pemuteran... More

Dear Julian A, After reading your posting, I feel the need to reply and clear up the facts a bit. As the owner of Reef Seen Divers' Resort, I take great pride in our services, as well as the reefs that we have fought for, and spent a lot of time and money to protect and repair over the last... We did a half-day (~4hrs) private boat trip to Pulau Menjangan. Besides the reliable & good organization and boat crew, the snorkeling was the best we've done in Asia! The visibility and colour richness were simply impressive. For four adults we paid IDR 2,148,750, which was worth every penny!

We did some research on the hatchery before we travelled as a group from Australia. We contacted the hatchery ahead of time to make sure that there were turtles for release that we could sponsor. We were assured that there were several hundred, and looked forward to this activity for our group. When we arrived at the hatchery we were... More

The Reef Seen Turtle Hatchery, or “PROYEK PENYU” is a non-profit, self-supporting project to help save and protect the local sea turtles and their eggs whilst providing an important source of income to the local villagers. The basic method of the project is to buy newly laid eggs found by the local villagers at a higher than market price. We... More

Second visit, and still they keep up the exellent quality that made me love the place. In between tutoring diving students, Amanda and Adrian find time to make sure that all the divers are taken care of. The diving in itself are very good in the area, ranging from trips to Menjangan, muck diving with lots of macro stuff, and... More

We traveled to Bali for our honeymoon, and received PADI certification as a wedding gift. We researched where to take our new found dive skills, and were drawn to Reef Seen because of their access to amazing marine sights, and their connections to the community. Reef Seen is the home of Proyek Penyu, a turtle hatchery and conservatory for local... More

Reefseen is a charming seaside resort and diving school. Adrian and Amanda are two of the most dedicated and passionate teachers that one could have. I was a first time diver with my boyfriend and Adrian was our amazing teacher! He made sure we were always comfortable and understood everything. I was not a quick learner but he was patient... During our stay in Pemuteran we came across Reef Seen and its turtle project. For just a small donation/entrance fee you can get a little tour around tanks with the baby turtles. At 16:30 you can also help feeding them. Besides the fact that a visit is fun for you, your donating helps supporting this project. Just have a look... More
