This Museum is entertaining! And of course, educational, but the displays, film viewing rooms, artifacts of all sorts from Harry and Bess' cars to a British Sten gun and a German Schmeisser, and so much more were awesome!

This museum changed my mind about HST and I am a Republican. After spending the entire day there I got a better appreciation for the man and the difference he made to America.

The Truman Museum and Library is enjoyable from beginning to end. The Truman Presidency is presented in a clear manner with a bit of fun a whimsy. We totally enjoyed this visit and highly recommend to those interested in history or the U.S. Presidency.

This was the first presidential library I have ever visited and I was impressed. We started with the lower level where we learned of the life of President Truman from a young age until his election as vice president. The upper level showed what was happening during WWII and after during the cold war. This was an amazing exhibit. We... More

We thoroughly enjoyed this great museum. We happened to visit on Truman's birthday, which allowed us free admission. There were many retired (and active) military personnel visiting; there had been a special event to honor them earlier in the day. There is a 45 minute video to watch before beginning your self-guided tour of the museum, which was very interesting.... More

Harry Truman was dead before I was born, but I've always been fascinated by the way he suddenly assumed the Presidency after FDR died and had to lead the USA out of WWII. This museum gives insight into Truman's presidency that is both engaging and informative. Highly recommended!

So enjoyed our visit here. We had only visited one Presidential Library/museum before and that was President Reagan. We watched a 45 minute movie first about the life of Harry S. Thuman from his boyhood through his life after Presidency which they showed in the theater that was in the gift shop area. It gave such an insight into who... More

Excellent historical library. The time in our country that this man was President was a very fortunate time for the rest of us who where born following WW2.

The museum did a good job of showing the human Harry Truman, the young boy, married man, father and small town activist. It also did a good job of outlining some of the difficult choices Harry had to make, some of which trashed his approval rating at the time but have subsequently been much more highly regarded with the benefit...
