I learned alot about Harry Truman and his life going through his library and museum. There is a lot of personal items that you can see. I think he was a great president. Also you must see his home and take a tour. It is very modest for a president and the inside is still like it was when he... more

This was certainly a highlight of our trip to Missouri. The museum was dedicated in 1957. You can start by seeing the the introductory video which traces Harry Truman's life from his boyhood through his presidency. The museum is set up so that each room goes through different periods of history in which he was president. It starts when he... more

What a great place to learn about Harry Truman! We learned so much about his life and administration, as well as the state of the union at the time he served. Probably not so great for kids, but adults should enjoy this. We became overwhelmed after spending a few hours on the main level. For more information about Truman's life,... more

This is the only Presidential Library/Museum I've been to, but after seeing this I want to see more. It's a great insight into President Truman as a person and a President as well as America and the World during his time in office. There is so much to see here, plan on an entire day. We were there for about... more

We visited 6/26/09. Very impressive and sobering. Gives you a real sense of the decisions he had to make. I could have spent all day there reading everything. I really like the handwritten letters to Bess and the daily schedules with notes about what the person came to see him about. I would really like to visit all the other... more

Went on tour on 6-12-09. Very interesting. Be sure to go with one of the guides as they have extra information, etc. Young kids/teenagers may want to pass on it unless they are history buffs. We found a 2 for 1 coupon on the www, good until 12-31-09. I did not see any place to get a drink or snaks. Overall... more

I haven't been to this museum in quite a few years, but it was often one I went to in school as a child and I still have many fond memories of it. It is very large - you can easily spend hours here and not see it all - and the grounds are expansive and beautiful. Nice to walk... more

I've always admired President Truman, both as a man and as the leader of our country in some of its most trying times. It was a real pleasure to be able to tour this library. At the time, it was the first presidential library that I had ever toured and I found it to be both interesting and educational. It... more

I'll keep this short, if you have interest in politics of the past, and WW2 history this is well worth your time. We showed up about 1.5 hrs before closing, and came back the next day for another 3 hours (they did not charge us for the second day). Exceptional museum. more

What a great educational place. If you are a fan of politics or not it is a must stop. This was one of the most important times in our nations history, and you get to see a lot of it!!! Will need to plan on about 3 hours to fully appreciate it all!!!! more
