Great place to learn the biography of a President who had to make one of the toughest and most agonizing decisions in our U.S. History. I am talking about the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Plan to spend an entire day. there is much to see and much to read as the museum covers his entire life, his lengthy courtship... More

It has been a number of years since I visited this presidential library. I've always enjoyed visiting. The new arrangement of the of the displays is very good. I had a comfortable walk around library and read many of the letters on display. A few of the displays did not have adequate lighting to read the hand written letters. I... More

Very well done museum. You "get to know" Harry downstairs and then the upstairs is about his presidency.

Truman was a simple man who bore (well) tremendous responsibility. The museum tells his story very well. I enjoyed it more than some of the more modern presence trial libraries that I've visited recently. Be... More

Harry Truman presided over a country during an era that was even more tumultous than our own. Fascinating to learn about the farm boy who grew up to become leader of the United States, mostly thanks to the mobs that ruled Kansas City in the 1930s. The office where Truman worked after his presidency has been lovingly preserved, and there's... More

Great for history buffs. My husband enjoys presidential libraries/museums so this was on his list of places to visit. A very easy museum to make your way around. President Truman, Bess and Marge are buried in the courtyard. We were surprised to see that the museum was short on information pertaining to the atom bomb. Also toured the house he... More

Wonderful experience, very friendly staff and our guide was extremely knowledgeable about President Truman. The exhibits were outstanding and the grounds and library immaculate. A must see visit if you're in the Kansas City, Missouri area.

Nice museum and very informational. I did not know much about Harry Truman and the museum was full of interesting facts displayed in an entertaining way. Staff is friendly. A must visit to learn about this era in history.
