I have been to quite a number of Presidential museums and this one is good...but just good. We being immaculate in cleanliness, it wasn't very well appointed. There were a lot of displays but they were just a bit blase'. Most of the workers seemed knowledgeable enough but generally just hung around...not engaging visitors. Mr Truman isn't in my top... His working office has also been lovingly preserved and left just as he left it.Guided tours and multi-media presentations available.

A great collection of President Truman's life. Do NOT fly your drone(s) on or around the property as it is a protected air space.

I almost skipped out on the short film. Don't! It's well done and sets the stage for all that you are about to see. I took my 5 and 8 year old kids with me. There are some great interactive things for them to do. That helped to occupy their time as I was reading and looking over other things.... More

The museum covers the life of Harry S. Truman and how his life affected history of the USA and the world. The museum covers two floors with the first floor dealing with the history of the time of Truman and how he impacted the world. The lower floor cover the history of Truman and family and family life. Two films... More

I have been to this Library several times. It is a outstanding visit. The exhibits are great. The Library and his home are must see. You can appreciate the simple life Mr. President and Mrs Truman lived after his presidency. I have visited several Presidential libraries and this rates right up there with the best. Seeing his office and his... More

It is best to begin with the 16 minutes video. It told me more about the man than I ever learned in school. The displays were grand except for the ones where the written details could not be seen. The print was extremely small. Some did not have adequate lighting, so they were not discernible. I wish there was guest... More

Very nice treatment of the life and times of Harry S. Truman. A very even-handed presentation of the times of his Presidency. A very good look at his beginnings and how he advanced in public service and his life after the Presidency.

It had been several years since we were here. It appears they have expanded and improved the exhibits! In addition to HST's political career the displays include his personal life and cultural trends of his time.

We learned so much about Truman and all the things he did! It was a delightful visit and options for all ages to engage with the museum. It is incredible how he had no college education, became president after meeting FDR only 3 times and then found out about the atom bomb AFTER Roosevelt was dead. Yet he rose to... More
