This museum was so easy to follow. The tapes and 9 films made the life of President Truman come alive. We came to appreciate his wisdom. His ethics were solid. We wish all of America could visit this museum and learn how to get along with all kinds of people.

Interesting museum in Independence. Lots of Truman artifacts, even had a full size replica of what the Oval Office looked like while he was in office.

The museum was very informative about the life of Harry Truman, his presidency and the man that he was. A lot of history is displayed. Plan on spending a couple of hour enjoying the museum. A short way from the museum is the Vaile Manson between the two places you could spend a very enjoyable afternoon.

My husband has read a lot about President Truman...so on our recent Missouri adventure we stopped at his Presidential Library and Museum. To be honest I wasn't too excited about it, as my historical interests lie elsewhere...but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at how lovely this museum is. You will find everything you need to know about... More

We had a strange, disturbing experience that put a bit of a damper on our visit. I have 2 small dogs that I'd have in a bag. We were told that they couldn't go in the museum which was no problem. I could've passed them off as service dogs but I am honest. Another blue cost security told me the... More

The library is well worth the price of admission, especially if you have not been to any other Presidential Libraries. There is a recreation of the Oval Office, President Trumans office from his time after the Presidency, along with many artifacts and interesting things to see. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is very helpful.

This was a highlight of my trip to Kansas City and area. I did not know very much about Harry Truman, and had never visited a Presidential Library before. In my opnion you should not miss this if you are in the area. The admission fees are very reasonable. The staff are very friendly and we were lucky on the... More

We visited the Harry S. Truman Library and Museum while in KC to go to the World War I Museum. I don't think we realize what an important president Harry Truman was and how decisions he made and policies he implemented influence US policies and world events today. The Museum contains an impressive collection of Truman's letters and artifacts from... More
