I went on the intermediate expedition (aka "off the beaten path") during my honeymoon trip to Bali with Komang, the founder of East Bali Bike Tours. We originally intended to do the advanced expedition to Pura Lempuyang (excuse my spelling) but the weather did not cooperate. Frankly, I'm glad it didn't cooperate because the intermediate expedition was hard enough! My... More

I took our 3 sons on a trip with East Bali Bike Tour. The boys are aged 13, 9 and 6. The bikes were good quality and everything was well organised. It was a big day, we cycled 27 km, mostly downhill so braking hands got more tired than legs. We travelled through beautiful countryside, forest, paddy fields and villages.... More

We booked long ago, and couldn't wait to start with our bike trip. Ketut Surya is a very friendly young man, full of humour, and lovely for our kids. Pick-up at 09.00 from our homestay in Ababi, and then to the slopes of the Mt. Agung. The first ten minutes, it was too steep for our 7 years old daughter,... More

My wife and I went on this tour after doing a similar tour in Ubud. As the tours are run by a small company, the groups are not very large which is great as it means that you can go as fast or as slow as you like. The guides are very friendly and accommodating (they pick you up from... More

We were lucky to have Ketut as our guide on the day we went. He provided wonderful information throughout the whole tour and I loved interacting with the locals in their villages. There were plenty of rest stops along the way, water and snacks were always provided and we enjoyed a wonderful lunch and swim at the Kebun Impian when... More

This small but enthusiastic company offers a original concept. A bike tour downhill from mount Agung through the real Bali landscape (28km). Positive points, pick-up service, nice staff, attention to safety first, time to have a good look around and to take pictures, great tour, the food at the end of the tour on white sandy beach. Points to be... More

What a great day - from the mountians to the shore. We did the "expert" tour (Rp500,000), booked through our hotel. From half way up Mt Agung to an excellent late lunch venue on the coast, through genuine balineses villages and settlements, genuine and spontaneous interactions with local stallholders and farmers, fresh snake fruit, fresh peanuts out of the ground,... What a great way to see a different side of Bali. I went on this tour with my daughter. We were the only members of the tour travelling with Surya, our capable guide. It felt so special as we could travel at our own pace, stopping at places of interest. We were a little concerned that we had picked the... More

This is a well run operation and it was good to have a guide that knew about bike maintenance to make any necessary adjustments to brakes and gears etc. Since there was just four of us on the ride we were able to stop and have chats with many villagers, have a drink in a Warung or buy things like... Myself and husband enjoyed this bike tour, we are both 66 yrs. On the trip was a family from USA, with 2 kids approx 12 and 8 yrs. We didnt rush, guide was amazing, pointed out various plants, seeds etc as well as info on the scenery. Part of the journey was thru rice fields riding on small tracks, later... More
