it was a wonderful experience to wake up early and get to the point before sunrise. the atmosphere was so charged with huge crowds waiting anxiously for the first glimpse of the rising sun. a must do when travelling to south india. don't forget to carry your camera to get great pictures!

Be warned its not one of those sandy beaches where you can laze around for hours picking up a tan or going out for a swim in the sea. Its a rocky sort of beach and the sea isn't as conducive for swims etc. well atleast thats the impression I got. The sea coastline is sort of chequered and is... More

Do visit Kanyakumari and do not miss the sunrise and sunset at this wonderful place. although you may have experienced a sunrise elsewhere kk is out of this world. The sight of the sun emerging from the sea as a magical ball is a truly a majestic sight not to be mssed....

The greatest attraction is Vivekananda Rock and Thiruvalluar Statue but the natural beauty is amazing where we can see the sunrise ans sunset from the same place in India. We can actually see the three colors of the water from Bay of Bengal, Arabian Sea and Indian Ocean blending into one. Its water water everywhere! The beaches are not so... More

The journey took almost 6 hours starting from ITC Fortune South Park Hotel, including a halt for lunch in between at Nagercoil. Nagercoil is the place where... More

The southern most tip of mainland India is a must visit for everyone. The greatest attraction is no doubt the Vivekananda Rock memorial. Perhaps one of the few or only place from where we see sunrise and sunset from mainland India. However, the water does not appear very clean and not sure if we can bathe, the tides were very... More

There is no so called beach as such. You can sit beside the Gandhi memorial to see the view of the sea which is wonderful. You can not take a bath.

very good place to visit. Kanya kumari a meeting place of three seas. Vivekananda rock and thiruvalluvar statues are best. At night view of thiruvalluvar statue is best. Both sun rise and sun set can be seen. A hotel called mani mess is ther behind hotel saagar as is provided with cheap meals and fish fry.
