It is normal for the common man to say that length of India is from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, which is the last tip of South India. It is a popular place for tourists where millions of visitors go there to enjoy the nature’s wonderful beauty. One can see the confluence of the three seas namely Bay of Bengal, Arabian Sea... More

This memorial might be having a historical significance but it's in a very neglected state... One more proof of lip-service by concerned authorities in the name of our "Father of the Nation" Inside the memorial there is nothing much to see except Framed Photos with depiction written below. Place is not well maintained and left much to be desired. However,... More

This is a Memorial to Mahatma Gandhi who had visited Kanyakumari in 1925 and 1937. It is constructed at a place on the seashore, near to Kumari Amman Temple, where his ashes were kept for public darshan before immersion in the sea on February 12, 1948. The Mandapam is built in Orrisa style of architecture and designed in such a... More

Whatever good the building, it seems to be boring roaming inside. No maintenance at all. Not at all a value of history. Just have a simple logic with the sun's rays falling on the ground. Could not find any useful things for children. Just lots of framed photographs with something written down explaining it.

The place has historic value. Many people won't be interested in visiting this place. But it's really worth a visit. It has Mahatma Gandhiji's pictures. It has a small play area for the kids. There is a special place in the mandapam where the sunlight falls directly on the that particular place on the day of Gandhi Jayanthi (October 2)... More

It is clean and located at proximity from the parking so walking is a treat since there are many venues to shop small stuff and eat too.

We reached the place late in the evening. This closes at 7:00 PM. It has good historic value and some old photograps of the times. It also has a smal play area where kids can spend sometime. The multiple floors give a good view of the sea and help get a refreshing wave of fresh air.
