Did not find it exciting !!! There was nothing here except some pictures and plaques on the wall. It's a big hall surrounded by old, big pictures. One has to remove the shoes outside before you can enter this hall. As I said above nothing exciting ! May be it means a lot to the local people and how far... More

A simple place, I didn't imagine could hold so much in itself. Built at the meeting point of Indian Ocean, Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal, this is where Mahatma Gandhi's ashes were poured into the waters. The building represents three religions. Nice place to visit once you've seen the famed sunrise/sunset.

Clean, well-kept, Particularly liked that it was built to represent Christianity, Islam and Hindu together - reminded me in a small way of the Mesquito in Cordoba, Spain, where religions come together. A fitting monument to Gandhi. The custodian collects banknotes from all over the world, so if you have a small note from your home country, he is very... More

Enjoyed our visit here, it's a very simple place in keeping with Ghandi. Lovely views from the top. Would have liked a bit more information.

This is a great memorial to the famous Mahatma Gandhi and definitely should not be missed. The memorial is built by the sea and the urn which had contained his ashes was on display. This is a beautiful memorial so well kept and one can climb the stairs and take a wonderful view from he top.

This is a Memorial to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, who had visited Kanyakumari in 1925 and 1937. It is constructedat a place on the seashore, near to Kumari Amman Temple, where his ashes were kept for public darshan before immersion in the sea on February 12, 1948. Very beauty ful comstruction and well maintaines.
