This is the place where the urn of Gandhi's ashes was kept before it was scattered in the Indian ocean. There were 12 or so urns containing his ashes and one was brought here while others were scattered on rivers throughout India and abroad. Cheap entrance fee, ordinary building and an etching of Gandhi on granite. One can climb and... More

The memorial has the ashes of gandhi ji kept in the center. There is a photo gallery of gandhi Ji. The view of the seas from the upper floors is good. Overall very good place to visit.

Very beautiful and peaceful. Well worth a visit to this place. You will have to take your shoes off to get closer to the memorial but you can view from above.

His memory is here with great style. The incidence that the ray of sun falls just upon the tomb on 2nd October, at 12:20 Hrs, is really interesting. The Memorial building is also of great attraction.

Did not find it exciting !!! There was nothing here except some pictures and plaques on the wall. It's a big hall surrounded by old, big pictures. One has to remove the shoes outside before you can enter this hall. As I said above nothing exciting ! May be it means a lot to the local people and how far... More

A simple place, I didn't imagine could hold so much in itself. Built at the meeting point of Indian Ocean, Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal, this is where Mahatma Gandhi's ashes were poured into the waters. The building represents three religions. Nice place to visit once you've seen the famed sunrise/sunset.
