Its a beautiful place.Rock gets too hot during day time But there is a white line Through which you can walk. An entry ticket is there(Rs 20) other than the ferry charge(Rs 35). A definite top priority for first timers. One caution, pl walk through the white paint only. Very sunny on the way, but should definitely take out time to see at least once. The meditation area is very peaceful

The rock is approachable only by boat which provides a pleasure cruise into the sea. An adventure . In fact, there are two rocks side by side projecting out of the sea. An impressive memorial to Swami Vivekananda has been built on a rock situated in the sea.

This memorial is for Swami Vivekanda, who probably is the most famous Hindu monk of all times. Swami Vivekanda became very popular the world over after his inspiring speech at the world religious congress in Chicago. Swami’s preaching and thoughts are widely acknowledged and respected. Kanyakumari is about 90km from Trivandrum, but it took me more than 3 hours of... More
