Ideal time to visit the Rock Memorial is early morning, immediately after the sunrise one should head for this as the queue for the boat is too long, therefore the earlier one gets the boat the better it is so as to avoid the heat.

The most significant monument on Earth. Finally we made it to this God's only place, where you find tranquility and calmness on a rock island. The meditation hall is a must experience place.

Rock is really well maintained, nice to watch waves hitting the rocks. Dont try to take font of line pass for ferry since it is good only for boarding at the shore and at rock it is not valid (so save some money)

Vivekananda Rock is a monument worth seeing. Especially the Sripada Mandapa, where there is an impression of the foot of Devi Kanyakumari. Dont stand in the normal queue for your ferry tickets, take the premium tickets priced at Rs. 150/- or else you would have to spend a considerable time in the queue under the sweltering sun.

The route to the Rock Memorial is crowded and chaotic - the queue for the ferry ticket, waiting for the ferry, entering and exiting the ferry. All these are forgotten once you are on the Rock - as it is such a peaceful and picturesque place to be on: no wonder Swami Vivekananda is said to have meditated on this... More

It is most popular tourist attraction in Kanyakumari.
