must go there wearing socks so when they ask you to take off your shoes, the soles of your feet dont burn on the hot stone. try walking only on the white painted line, it is much cooler

The ferry line is too long in the morning.If paying some extra money doesn't harm you go for the special line.Otherwise standing in line for 1-3 hours gonna take away all the excitement

This is a very nice place without any information on Swami Vivekananda. People working will make you rush and do not allow you to even appreciate nature and view .It is better to visit in Rameshwaram so you get to read information about him with very nice beach. We felt blessed after visiting Vivekananda Rock Memorial. We heard about this place so much since childhood and were very eager to be there. Our dream came true. Boat ride was exciting too.
