A must visit place in monsoons. Ideal time to go is mid-july during rains. It takes almost 2 hours to reach the fort and its totally worth it.

Lohgarh Fort is one of the oldest Fort of Maharastra. Lastly it was under Rule of Marathas. We entered by east Darwaja out of Four Darwaja of Fort. From here you can enjoy a nice view of Sahyadri Hills. There is also a Temple of Lord Shiva. For visiting this Fort, you have some spare time to spend. A nice... More

The fort looks fabulous from ground level A simple trek will take you to the top from where you have a fantastic 360°view which is mesmerising. Though there is nothing but ruins of the fort on the top and a tomb. The walls and entrance gates withstood the onslaughts of time. Can be reached by car and a simple trek.

near from pune, nice fort with simple trek for starters. the view from top is very nice---the fort resembles the shape of scorpion from the top. the place was used to store gold. there are five other forts visible for the top. the food at the start point is good. order chicken, mutton or typical maratha food.

Visited here with friends. Top of the fort gives you a feel as if you were in paradise. beautiful ponds on the top surrounded by long green grass are total refreshers. Suggestions: Visit in late monsoons when kaash flowers are their best bloomed. Be prepared with a little bit of trekking. Sports shoes would be an advantage. Carry caps/hats, drinking... More

We visited this place during peak rainy season & the journey to top of this fort is memorable. Risky journey but highly adventurous and enjoyable if you are withing your safety limits.
