A good fort to trek to. you either need to start from Malvali railway station or near Bhaje Caves. No fun in bringing vehicle to the base. Roads are quite steep. Don't need to follow roads as there are trails made for trekking. By that you reach faster as compared to walking on road. You can use the road to... More

Very nice place to Visit in monsoon near Mumbai-Pune. This place has a refreshing aroma. Go to the top near the waterfall and just sit for sometime. That's one of a kind feeling. The place still reflects the beauty and amount of labor and courage required to build such a fort. You can experience the historic fighting strategy. The canons,... More

It takes about 30 mins to climb upto there. The stairs are average. Shoes are must specially for kids. On the top things to see are the view of entire valley and pavana lake and there is a Mosque on the top. There is a big ground on top of the fort.

The view at the top is really awesome. You also get a good view when you have climbed halfway. But the con is that to see the view it requires you to climb a lot of steps. Also, the closing time is at 6:30 pm. This is the best spot I have visited in lonavala

We walked up from a parking in Bhaje. The earlier part is motorable, till the foothill of the last hill which hosts the fort. We walked up anyway. The trek is very green and it can be very quiet - which was very pleasant. The long trek made the final summit even more worthwhile. Once on the top of the... More

Ways to reach : There are two ways to do the trek, 1) Walk all the way from Bhaje village upto 11.9 Kms to reach the top or 2) One can drive upto foot hills of this fort which is Lohegadwadi and start climbing from there. As weather was not that cloudy on the day and it would have been... More
