A long and good beach. Sometimes can be too crowdy though. The ruined sea bridge is a good view, which itself is a memory of yesteryear of Aleppey . Try out the chilli bajis in the shops in the sides, it can be really tasty sometimes.

Alappuzha Beach beach at C grade. Convenient location. Not far from the city. But not as scenic as the Marari Beach.

Alappuzha beach is a 1km long beach with a dilapidated sea bridge in the middle and a chlidren's park at north end. There are some beer and wine parlors available to chill out. There is a light house nearby where visitors are allowed to enter. Good place to enjoy for families and groups. A great pit stop for those who sign up for the 24hr house-boat experience. A not very crowded beach that lets you do everything from camel rides to authentic cuisine to silently paying tribute to the ocean from the clean sands. However , similar to Pondi beach in its lack of shade/cover or any shacks etc.

It's a very clean beach but the slope is steep also the waves were little rough so not advised for swimming or going further in water. Good place to sit on the shore and watch the waves play around. Camel ride is available. There are some shops available near one corner with reasonably priced snacks and ice creams to enjoy... More

The coastline is quite long, don't know how long. I spent a whole day at the beach-reading, lying, eating, doing nothing. I like to lie in the sand and stare at the waves. It's not too crowded during the day. However, evenings see a lot of people visit the beach including honeymooning couples, kids, boys playing with Frisbee right over... More

This is almost an hour plus boat ride and then a cross over through the city traffic to reach the place. Another mode is to go by road and reach the beach. It is a crowded place but not recommended for swimming.
